Stop whining my @$$.. This game was DEFINITELY manipulated by the refs from Quarter 1. They set the tone by calling all this BS, fell for Przybilla flop to get Yao out with his 4th in the 3rd, and that's not even why I'm frustrated. Up until the last 3 minutes of the 4th quarter, I didn't care about the refs, b/c they had not affected the outcome--well, the last 3 minutes, there were 3 specific plays that inhibited the rockets ability to comeback or stay close. 1) We're down 103-100... Over the back of Scola.. called Portland's ball... In the first half, similar play was reversed b/c no foul was called and the ball given to portland.. Well, what does portland do with an extra possession.. Roy 3.. 106-100.. 2) Battier plays great defense on Roy.. Roy falls.. Refs award Roy with 2 FTs. 3) Battier blocks Roy's layup.. Roy falls.. Refs award Roy with 2 FTs. That's 7 points!! We lost by 3.. All of these bad calls were at the end of the game.. you tell me refs had nothing to do with it?? Yea right! Regardless of all this, we missed 10 FTs.. Roy was gifted 42 points from 35 pts that should have been the case w/o all these bad calls... and we only lost by 4.. If Refs don't do us in the butt again in Games 3 and 4, they SHOULD be decisive victories.
Exactly! The Refs kind of bothered me with the 4 early fouls on Yao. But the last 3 minutes of the game was ridiculous. That combined with the betting line being at -5.5 brings the game under suspicion to me. Also right before the Battier block, I think Yao usually gets an and1 on that hookshot that Pryz had his arms over him. Can't wait till the last 3 minutes get posted on youtube.
