offensive fouls only result in change of possession, not free throws. They don't even count towards the team total fouls.

Clutch should sticky a gallery of refs-cheating-the-rockets-in-the-playoffs photos.

It was a foul, but you're right I doubt Parsons would have been able to affect the shot. Doesn't strike me as egregious as say the Karl Malone pulling guard/double underhook on Drexler in 1997

Also he sold the foul in best UEFA champions league fashion by throwing his arms up, flailing and yelping like he'd just been sniped by a blowgun-wielding Yagua tribesman in the Amazon basin. I'm surprised he didn't get booked with a yellow card for simulation.

Im pretty sure if they called that foul like they shouldve and waived off that 3, it wouldve made a big difference since, you know, we lost by 3 lol

Whether Parsons could have blocked the shot or not is not important. The fact that he was blatantly held should have been called. If the foul was called the shot would not count. Rockets lost by 3. Could have meant the game.

    BLATANT CHEAP play

In the replay, unfortunately, you can see that NONE of the refs had a CLEAR VIEW of the play.

The ref closest to the play was right behind Perkins's big wide body, totally blocking his view of the hold. Just bad timing on that alignment.

Other refs were at opposite ends of the court. Probably the ref right behind Sefalosha coulda seen the full view if he was looking down inside. But probably thought the other ref under the goal had responsibility to make the calls in that area.

(Refs should get fined. But someone should start guarding Serge Ibaka too. )

Because no one outside of Clutchfans and Houston cares about the Rockets. They're all enamored with an OKC vs. Miami finals match.

There should be a new rule introduced.

Coaches should have a right to challenge any one play during the last 5 minutes of the game. If a coach feels a foul or play was missed or called wrong than he should be able to challenge it. The coach needs to exactly say what he is challenging, like Perkins was holding the hand of Parsons. Thus, the refs will only focus on one part of the play. After review, refs can elect to reverse or upheld the play. Problem fixed.

Refs fined/suspended for a missed call? LOL? What sport do you think you guys are watching? This type of quasi legal play happens in the low post all the time. (See Blake in the CP3 game winner.)

And Harden should stop ball watching.

This kind of stuff happens all the time...especially come playoff time. The one thing that bothers me is not the refs but the fact that our 21-2 run should've been a 30-2 run. Unfortunately we had Harden, Parsons, and Delfino miss wide open 3's during this stint. Although Delfino did hit the 3 that put us up 4, that shot should've completely deflated the arena and we should have been up by 13. Just my two cents

I saw this live and could only shake my head in anger. You can't touch Durant or Westbrook but at the same time they get away with ***** like that. If a ref even thinks you fouled Durant he's getting two free throws without seeing it. Why couldn't have Parsons got that call? Perkins literally held him

Would have been a loose ball foul, not an offensive foul.

EDIT: Had a brain fart. It would not have been a loose ball foul.
