LOL, so since they don't deserve to live, it's ok that the insurgency continues with daily car-bombings that kill hundreds per week, so that those suicide bombers & their allies can be killed later?

I don't even know where to begin wit that.

Can you come up with even a single example from, say, the past century or so?

Unfortunately from my perspective, the chances of the outcome you describe are getting worse and worse every day (unless your TV is set on Faux News). I would love for that to happen, but the probability is around .10 IMO.

No, because thankfully nations in this century do not attempt to expand their empires to benefit themselves at the expense of other's welfare.

It might look like I walked into a "OMG LOOK @ AMERICA!!", but in my mind, America is not being imperialist and in my mind, America's cause is indeed good and just.

Ah crap, posted reply too soon. Germany's campaigns throughout Europe during WWII and the USSRs forays into a global empire after WWII might be considered "successful" imperialist operations...

They dont deserve to live either, and thus they should be killed. Quickly and efficiently as possible.

If you consider Hitler's campaigns and the expansion of the USSR "successful," then you are truly deluded, as evidenced by your other opinions on this subject.

Turn off Faux News once in a while. Actual facts are few and far between there.

They weren't successful? Hitler essentially took over all of continental Europe in a span of just a few years and this isn't considered successful? The USSR's iron curtain extended throughout Eastern Europe for over 40 years and this isnt considered successful?

By no means am I saying that Hitler's Germany or the USSR was right, but certainly their campaigns and objectives were accomplished. (at least in the beginning)

I consider "success" to be a long term, stable government, not a successful military campaign. As we have seen in Iraq, it can be very easy to oust a government but extremely difficult to install one that works.

No, those are not examples of "success." Hitler's reign was less than a decade and the USSR lasted a whopping 40 years, not very long at all.

Hitler was insane, which is why they were not able to implement a long term "stable" (as stable as one can get when one is trying to eradicate and entire race) government. When Hitler attempted to attack and take over the USSR, German dominance in Europe started crumbling.

I gather when a draft hits you, you'd be changing your mind swiftly.

If that may be too hard on you, take a trip to Iraq and talk to some Iraqis to see what they have to say.

No, I am not. There are people who are far more strong and brave than I am and for that I thank them.

That's not an excuse. Have you not seen the movie Full Metal Jacket? They can successfully turn you into a killing machine, as long as you don't go nuts at the end of the training camp.

I'm not from Britain, I'm American born and bred. I've lived in Britain only since February.
