This was the first time I enjoyed seeing Cynthia Cooper. Mainly because I was at the game, and she was doing the commentary far away, where I couldn't hear her.
My apologies. This thread was created in a short fit of anger after watching her for the SIXTH straight freaking game of mumbling and studdering through the broadcast. I will not make anymore threads about her anymore cause I forgot the fact that my TV changes channels.
Pink Floyd rules!! as much as I may have dissed Lisa Malosky I do feel that she did a way better job than Coop... some people have talent for on screen commentating and some people don't. To be honest, I never listen to the halftime show on TV.... the volume always goes off and the music goes on.
In all fairness, she looked a lot better last night.. she had some professionally-done makeup, and her hair was much nicer too.. and I can't recall hearing one single 'awesome' through the whole halftime.. maybe there was one, but if so I missed it..
She is soooo bad that she deserves a second thread to drive home the point. If she's back again next year then its because somebody was afraid to admit they shouldn't have hired her in the first place.
We talked about this in the thread "I MISS LISA" & it was even on the front page, many arguments but 90% of the people said they thought Coop sucked real bad & im one of them.

True, I hate having to switch channels evry break, or at halftime. She may get better over the years, but you dont send someone with no experience into a fulltime commentator/correspondent role. That isnt where you learn its where you go when you graduate from doing high school JV water polo games Someone please start a legitimate petition to present to the Rox. She is actually driving fans away from broadcast. Her and those unbelievably annoying commercials they play over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.....
I think Coop has improved some. Last night was not as bad as it was at the beginning of the season. Not good enough yet but hopefully it will come. Maybe, by the end of the season, Les can decide to keep her or let her go. BTW, this is not national TV or anything. She has a small role in a half-time show on a local TV channel for peace-sake.
How is gouging out your eyeballs going to help you if the problem is that you don't like hearing what she says?
Cynthia Cooper is an embarrassment to Houston. She is a disgrace to all those in the broadcast journalism field. I want to vomit when I think about how a qualified professional such as Lisa Malosky was fired in favor of this buffoon.
yah i started that thread, and she still stinks butt!! she still looks nervous & gassy as heck speech impediment someone needs to test her for substance abuse quick! YACK!
yeah, she's pretty awful. it's sad to think of all the qualified and capable people who were denied the job because Coop can play basketball.
