Mase is garbage, Kayne is just a producer but Biggie had one of the sickest flow in the game. The great rappers are always underrated and don't push as many units as the big money rappers. Rappers such as Talib Kweli, Mos Def, and Common.

Rakim. Run DMC. The Roots (they're a group, but still....).

I'm sick of Pac & Biggie. If they hadn't died at their "peak", they wouldn't be half as popular.

Grandmaster melle mel and Afrika Bambaataa as well as run dmc. The greatest and most famous song, the godfather of rap and a truly orginal rapper, and the greatest album contained here and none made your list. And if you didn't know, public enemy was patterned after run dmc.

    In case you are wondering:

    the message
    Afrika Bambaataa
    Raising hell

Why is Public Enemy and NWA grouped together? Did the members all form this "rap supergroup" at one time?

Ice Cube, Run of Run-DMC, Snoop, and LL Cool J all should have been on this list. And Dr. Dre is not a rapper, at least not a good one.

Oh but the best by far is Rakim. It isn't even close - everyone else is battling for second place.

I mentioned Rakim at the end of my post...He is usually mentioned as the GOAT but like I said I haven't heard his old stuff. Also, sorry I forgot to mention LL Cool J but some of his new stuff is wack. His old school stuff is tight though.

Any greatest rapper poll that doesn't include Blondie or Whodini is not worth voting for.

    Yeah, Blondie. Great rapper. :)

Whodini was a group, and they were among the "godfathers" of rap, but comparing them to some on that list is well... wrong. Their "5 minutes of funk" are over. ;)

    Kanye West can spit.

Last year shoppin my demo, I was tryin' to shine
Every mother****er told me that I couldn't rhyme
Now I could let these dream killers kill my self-esteem
Or use my arrogance as the steam to power my dreams
I use it as my gas, so they say that I'm gassed
But without it I'd be last, so I ought to laugh
So I don't listen to the suits behind the desk no more
You n***** wear suits 'cause you can't dress no more
You can't say **** to Kanye West no more
I rocked 20,000 people, I was just on tour, n****

I ain't play the hand I was dealt, I changed my cards
I prayed to the skies and I changed my stars
I went to the malls and I balled too hard
'Oh my god, is that a black card?'
I turned around and replied, why yes but I prefer the term
    African American Express
Brains, power, and muscle, like Dame, Puffy, and Russell
Your boy back on his hustle, you know what I've been up to
    Killin y'all n***** on that lyrical ****
Mayonnaise colored Benz, I push Miracle Whips

I'm surprised no one in here has mentioned Redman or to a lesser degree Method Man. Red has a sick flow w/some LOL punchlines. Not the greatest but should get at least an honorable mention.

    IMO :D

Why are The Stones and AC/DC grouped together? Did the members all form this "rock supergroup" at one time?

Good Charlotte, Aqua, The midget from Kid Rock and Creed all should have been on this list. And Bruce Dickenson is not an rocker, at least not a good one.

Oh but the best by far is whoever the last 10 guys mentioned was the best . It isn't even close - everyone else is battling for second place.
