"but as soon as the ball is kicked off go support your team that bears our city's name."

i'm so glad there are still some true fans that roam these boards, I swear all these other guys are just an embarrassment to houston, we make a decision no body likes and now when our texans come home, they're not actually coming home...that's just terrible.

Holding. Offense #69. Ten-yard penalty from the spot. Repeat 3rd down.

I did not mean to start another thread about the same old issues, I just wanted Houston to look good and what I mean is cheer for VY before the game and give him his love but as soon as the game starts show your Houston pride for your team not one player and not for the team and their douchbag owner who used to be here.

As much as I hate UT, VY is the man. He proved, even though he had doubters at every level, he could succeed. Bob Mcnair didn't put up the entire 700 million himself. He calls himself the owner but he just has the controlling majority. I hope the Texans bust out with Battle Red Day 2 on Sunday.

    GO TEXANS!!

I guess it's a case of "what have you done for me lately." McNair spent an unbelievable amount of money to give us football again, but let's not forget that the Texans have been VERY profitable for McNair.

Sorry man, I like the Texans a lot but it's gonna take more than a couple of open practices to erase all the horrible plays, draft moves, free agent moves, etc...

Who exactly was McNair listening to? Who are his "football people?"

I truly believe that Kubiak was hired on the premises that he'd have to work with David Carr. The extension was given before Kubiak was even hired and Kubiak was quoted in the chron saying: "Once the extension was given, VY was basically off the draft board." This is a very interesting quote in that it sounds like Kubiak is basically trying to say "it wasn't my fault."

We know that McNair loves David Carr and I commend him for trying to stick up for his guy and not giving up on him so quickly. But in doing so, he might have passed over the one guy that could have saved this franchise.

If the decision was up to Kubiak and the "football people," I don't think you would have seen an extension for Carr so quickly. Kubiak was hired after the extension, so IMO, that means the decision to pass on VY was already made by McNair.

I hope Mario Williams stomps a mudhole in Young's Arse!!
Young, as far as I'm concerned, is enemy #1
He plays for Bud Adam's freaking Titans....I HATE the Titans.
    Therefore I HATE Young.

I respect Young....WISH he was as Texans...but he is not.

So I hope Young enjoys his first game back in Houston when he is on his back with snot bubbles drooling out of his nose and he's looking up at Reliant Staduims roof with Mario Williams standing over his weak beaten body.

I can't wait for the corny jokes by the CBS broadcast team.

"Welcome back to Reliant Stadium. Home of the Titans. At least for today"

Way to go Bob McNair! Houston Proud.

Says the guy who wants everyone to wear Titans gear to the stadium. Who's the one who's not "Houston Proud"?

I'm ok with you not being a Texan's fan.
