This is the actual team Mark coached versus JVG who didn't coach anybody on our current team. Not really the same thing.

    Lol, :) no miller...

I don't get too caught up in announcers but definitely like the cast ESPN will be using for this series.

I think Van Gundy comes over the top with his Rockets love because he still lives in Houston and realizes how little attention they've gotten for all that they have achieved despite injuries and other situations over the years since he had to go through that himself. Especially coming from the epic center of media central in NYC.

Especially now considering how they went through and battled through injuries and adversity all regular season long to win their division and claim the 2nd seed. And now again in the playoffs. I think he appreciates that more than anything. The Warriors on the other hand have been media darlings since Jackson started coaching there but really sky rocketed with Kerr taking over. Jackson has not (sadly and rightfully so) gotten much credit for what has done with that team and getting them to where they are at. Kerr is overrated as a coach right now - but he isnt a bad or stupid coach. He has some good assistants and has benefited greatly from inheriting a very talented team and being ridiculously healthy throughout the season (something that has rarely happened considering Curry/Bogut injury issues)

I am sure Warriors fans will hate that its Jackson broadcasting games or maybe they'll love it if the Warriors use their superior depth to beat the Rockets quickly and having him call the games. I just think its weird that now you have two guys who may actually openly root for Houston calling the game on National TV - but the network airing the games ESPN/ABC are all openly wishing that its Golden State that advances.

    taking odds,
number of times Van Gundy mentions J.J watt?
number of times Van Gundy mentions Astros?
number of time Mark mentions he was fired by the warriors?

Love that we get van gundy for four games before cleveland comes to houston.

No. He is one of those "back in my day that was just a regular foul" type of players

JVG and Breen are good. Jackson not so much.

I actually cringe whenever JVG shows his Rockets homerism. I wish he could be a little more objective. But I like his tell-it-like-it is manner and he's genuinely humorous, not clown funny like Shaq and Charles.
