This was always my understanding of the case. I don't remember the specific cases, but the OJ trial also followed a couple of other cases in which wealthy individuals were not convicted despite it looking as if they were guilty as sin.

You combine that with pulling a jury from a population that feels oppressed/was oppressed by LAPD, and the defense can get OJ off. Especially when a scumbag like Furhman is involved.

He seemed so arrogant he thought once he got out of jail he would go back to his his life was before, and he really didn't think in a million years he would be blackballed the way he was after the trial was over.

I always said when he was found guilty in Vegas that sentence was almost like a makeup trial to what should have happened in the murder case they probably gave him a much harsher sentence just because he was OJ.

It was simple for the jury. If either the victim or a police officer lies, you will either get a hung or not guilty jury almost every time. That's all it takes. I was shocked they came back in 4 hours, but truthfully, they had been talking over that case for months prior to getting into the jury room, but it all comes to trusting one key witness. And they could not do it.

I tougher jurors were not allowed to discuss the case with other jurors.

But over 9 months, I'm sure some of them would have found a way... Which was another factor contributing to the short deliberation time. Those jurors wanted out of their "sentence" asap. They ended up suffering through the whole ordeal as well (although some cashed in with book deals after).

What did Kardashian and Malcom Jamaal Warner hear in OJ's speech at the party that made them turn on him? Or at the very least, they were confirming their suspicion of OJ's guilt

My DVR always seemed to cut off the last five minutes or so of almost every episode. Doesn't happen on any other shows that I record and there's nothing that's in the queue that could be causing it to stop short. I have DirecTV Genie DVR and even went into the episode settings to make it record an extra 10 minutes after the show ends, still with no luck.

Did anyone else have this problem? I wonder if Is FX slightly off with their timing or something.

Kardashian was already having doubts throughout the trial and he was fairly convinced OJ was guilty by the end.

That speech about finding the "real" killer was just the final straw for him, he couldn't keep up the facade.

They didn't really go into Al Cowlings much but I'd assume it's the same story.

My impression from the last episode was that when OJ said he was going to find the real murderer, that Kardashian was sick and tired of the drama and wanted nothing to do with that anymore. So he left. Trying to get away. I'm not sure what he really felt or if he doubted OJ, but I don't think so, as they were best friends, he trusted OJ, but that was how I felt watching it. That it was more like he just wanted the journey to end, and it wasn't going to. His family was torn on guilt and innocence too, and while he let his family have their opinion, that I think he also wanted to end as a division.

    As for Cowlings, no thoughts.

However, I think the show also took some liberties at the end trying to get the audience to think that the two people who could have known the truth, we're walking out on him, as Kardashian supposedly hid the garment bag with evidence, and Cowling spent a few hours in the car with OJ and may have heard the truth. But think to this day both would deny they know anything.

I think the show got it right: the LAPD had earned suspicion, but OJ was the wrong beneficiary
