fwiw: Harden actually is equally efficient to Durant, so far.

An iso step-back three is technically a bad shot, but if you can keep hitting it....

    lulz.
46 pts for Durant on 14-31
41 pts for Harden on 14-32

And if Durant doesn't get that leg kick foul, with Rivers passing by him vs lunging, it's 14-32 to 14-32 (43 pts to 41)

That means, without the 2 technical fouls in Game 1 for Durant, and that leg kick, they have EXACT same FGA and PTs in 3 games. And Harden with less FTs. This is a dead heat of efficiency without that leg-kick, and very close even with it.

lulz...but Durant is having a MUCH, MUCH better series right.

Harden tries to draw contact? He's ruining the sport.

Durant takes his free agency and joins a dynasty? Great for the game. Go Warriors!

If Harden can fall back on soft ass touch fouls until he got hot like KD, Harden would've broken MJ's single game scoring record multiple times already.

Durant is shooting 37.8% on 2s, in last two games

    14-37

Stick to the plan, Rockets. Let him shoot, because it takes Curry and Klay out of their rhythm, so much so, Curry misses dunks...lulz

Well, according to Box Scores he had a more Efficient Night Gm 3 albeit the loss.

    6-10 from 3
    vs
    5-13 from 3 (Harden)

yeah, I know. see my post prior where I explain that, yet also show how the BS Leg Kick foul is the only reason for it.

The two are dead even for 3 games. Which is why you stick to the plan.

I think the real reason the Rox are having a chance is Steph is shooting like crap for his high arse standard.

I dun care now, if it's his dislocated finger, his ankles, psychological issues.

If he and Klay continue to score below 25 on a below average basis, it's still pretty much a close series, up for grabs.

I don’t know exactly what it is, but these shooting numbers don’t seem to capture the efficiency difference between the two players on offense that I’m perceiving.

It might be that Harden is laboring a lot more to get his shots — using up more touches and shot clock while his teammates are just standing around, sometimes successfully generating a good look, but often allowing the defense to just stuff out the possession. Durant’s looks appear to be more in the flow of the offense. Even when he’s shooting and missing contested shots, as he did several times last nigh, they look like good shots he is capable of hitting.

In short, Harden’s bad possessions seem to stand out way more than Durant’s. This perception might be due to the different offensive styles of the teams. On Harden’s bad possessions, he is controlling the entire possession. That’s not the case, as often, for Durant.

    fwiw: last two games

    Durant FG% on twos = 37.8%
    Durant eFG% = 51.9%
    Durant TS% = 59.8%

    Harden FG% on twos = 48.2%
    Harden eFG% = 52.9%
    Harden TS% = 59.8%

    Durant 9-16 on 3s = 56.2%
    Harden 8-20 on 3s = 40.0%

To my eyes, the difference is that one guy is 7 feet tall and can elevate for a good look any time he feels like it. The other guy is a more modest height by NBA standards and has to really work to get a quality shot, especially against such a good defensive team.

Durant doesn’t need the step back, like the rest of the NBA, to get off a good look. He’s unique.

Prob because gs has enough high BBQ people on the court to move off the ball.

It'll prob look as ugly for them when they get dead tired late game late series

James Harden's efficiency is everything that's wrong with society and KD's efficiency is everything that is right.

Durant almost completely disappeared at the end.

-2 pts in the 4th after Tucker came back with 10 minutes left
-2 pts in OT until those meaningless 3 FTs

    He also sucks at passing.

It's pretty obvious to me it's the different offensive systems. If Durant's teammates just stood around and let him work on his shots, he'd probably had to work harder. I'd say if we had the same amount of offensive talents GS had, Harden wouldn't have to take that much time.

And as someone pointed out, Durant's height gives him the advantage of being able to shoot over people.
