fwiw: Harden actually is equally efficient to Durant, so far.

    Curry is beating us.

Basically we can't double or help on the rest of the warriors because we have to stick to curry. He's also a way better passer than durant

yep, and without the refs they would be down 0-2 or tied
durant curry and worriers dynasty is nothing but a media hype and the refs help... they re not special players...or theyre as special as lillard kemba walker and similar great players... its just that they come to play together and are being supported by the refs

If an avg of 34 points on 53/41/91% shooting is not “real good”....

    Exactly.

For us Rockets fans, we know how Harden compares to Durant. The real problem for us is that we can't afford to have a mediocre Harden game, while the Warriors can win even without Durant having a monster game. As has been pointed out, Harden's usage is way more than Durant's. Harden IS our offense. Durant is just one of the many weapons they have. We don't have Curry and Klay shooting the ball. We don't have Iggy, Livingston, and Bogut/Looney coming off the bench. And we certainly don't have Draymond getting away kicking people's nuts.

No, Durant is not beating us. We're beating ourselves. Hard.

But the thing with Durant is that he CAN beat you anytime he wants. And he's the only player in the league that can do that because he's 6 foot 1 million inches tall and plays like Kevin Durant. So, Durant is a guaranteed problem in any game, and that is why you HAVE TO OUTSCORE his contribution. You can't lock him down. You also have to lock down the rest of the team, because you're not going to win a scoring fight with all of them.

He has a .552 TS% and 107 ORTG vs. the rockets. Clippers were a bad defense.

Feels like Harden/Paul/Gordon trio is hanging right there with KD/Curry/Thompson.

The problem is Draymond Green is destroying Clint Capela.
And any perceived *advantage* from the Rockets bench is not showing up.

Harden stopped "jacking up" threes because he couldn't see the f%$king rim through those blurry eyes. He attacked the basket more because the rim looks bigger from just two feet away.

    P.S. "Walla"? Really?

And let's not lose sight of the fact that Game 1 was pretty much stolen by the refs. Better officiating could have easily led to a Rockets win, and we'd all be talking about how great it was that we took one on their home court and are now sitting pretty with HCA.

We never have a good bench. We all knew the crap from the offseason. We had some decent mid season pickups in Rivers, Faried, and House. But they are not dependable guys (or else they wouldn't be so available for us to pick up). Rivers is extremely streaky in his shots. Faried is a defensive liability. House seems to have lost his confidence. The two returning veterans aren't much better. Gerald Green is as streaky as Rivers and can't play defense. Nene is good but can't play heavy minutes and doesn't fit well with our switching defense.

We are just not a very deep team. We are a dominant team only IF those streaky guys get hot.

Problems is, Harden has to be BETTER than Durant for us to win this series.

Playing him to a draw is admirable, but had he just been on the court longer yesterday with good eyes I think we find a way to win that game, you would have also seen Harden's number be greater than KD's.

True. He needs to have mvp level games moving forward. Playing as good as Durant but losing is just a nice moral victory.

From the article: "Durant played 44 minutes and scored a game-high 29 points with five rebounds, four assists and two blocks."

Game-high is accurate, but they don't bother to mention that a nearly-blind Harden equaled it. Because then it's not as dominating, y'know?

Durant: 29 pts in 44 minutes, 5 rbs, 4 asts
Harden: 29 pts in 34 minutes, 6 rbs, 4 asts

If you haven’t seen The Jump yet today... Nichols... “I don’t want to hear about the eye as an excuse for anything, he shot better than he has all playoffs after he came back”

    Unreal.
