thats what I do with every chain email I get from some of my various conservative christian family members\ old friends.

EVERY.SINGLE.ONE. of them has been easily busted as either totally false, or something true that has been twisted to attempt to make the current guys in charge look bad(this goes all the way back to Clinton).....which in general they need very little help with, but damn people....stick to the truth and you wont hear a peep from me, I despise liars.

and yes, alot of christians feel they are being persecuted...mainly centered around the seperation of church and state thing. I see it alot more on FB these days and not as much thru email. Snopes works great either way.

You do a pretty good job of persecuting and letting other people know how stupid you think they are in your own right....but it's not exactly Emperor Nero.

I'd rep this and about 10 other posts from you over the last few days if I could....but sadly:

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Mathloom again.

It's good to see the Republican Party is utilizing the technology of 1995 to get their message across.

Just calling it like I see it. If you hold silly ideas that's fine with me. It's when you start crying or seeking to force others to respect or follow your silly ideas that I have nothing good to say to/about you in respect to those beliefs. I think adults who push silly ideas on others deserve to be ridiculed mercilessly (provided they have access to education which everyone in this country does).

I understand you feel that way. And I don't know if you care or not...but you might consider how dear some people hold their faith to them before calling them stupid for it. I think everyone deserves at least that measure of respect....whether in an internet message board or in real life. You and I see the world differently...but I'd never call you stupid because of it.

Hurry up and respond, MadMax, so that Dave_78 can accuse you of being overly sensitive!!

I can't truly understand how dear some people's faith is to them. I'll admit that. I value a different approach to understanding the world that does not involve faith. Contrary to what people may think on this BBS, I don't go out of my way to to insult or bully people of faith. It's when that faith goes from something personal and peaceful to something aggressive. I feel like if someone holds their faith that high then they are prepared to have it challenged when they use it as a stick to beat everyone else over the head. If your faith is something that you use to help guide you through this life and not as a weapon against the rest of the world then it is not my goal to offend you.

I don't think people of faith are stupid. I think some of their concepts are stupid but that doesn't make them stupid people IMO. I certainly don't think you're stupid and would never know or care about your faith just as you would never know or care about my feelings on faith if we were not in an arena where inflammatory thoughts on the matter of faith are the featured attraction.

Duh, They were converted to Wolf Blitzer monologues back in 1998.

    Republicans: always 34 steps behind.

Next up: Sarah Palin gets a Myspace, John McCain gets jiggy with it and Michael Steele discovers the magic of Chumbuwumba and Vanilla Coke.

Whether I agree with your overall stance in regard to religion and faith is irrelevant to the fact that your pushing the silly idea of abandoning common courtesy in dealing with people deserves merciless ridicule.
