That’s fair, definitely don’t want it to have the same issues as GARM

    The future is now.

    The future...is Tyrod Taylor.

Ewers will not take the job from a guy who's throwing the ball the way Stroud is either. He wouldnt be the first 'best player in America' to flame out or just transfer because he wasnt gifted the job. He's already had some setbacks with coaches early on so he's not endearing himself to that program. Dont believe the hype coming from fans - watch the coaches.

We will see, Ewers is a far more talented player.

They said the same thing about Josh Rosen. Stroud has looked like one of the best QBs in the nation so far. Not sure how you justify replacing him because the guy below him was great in high school.

Yes but do they look good because they had better talent around them or because of how they preformed?

I only want to evaluate players when they are playing teams that are inner conference or similar in talent. But as of now, I'm just not enamored with QB to take them #1 overal

Stroud is more like Josh Rosen than Ewers.
Ewers is more highly touted than Lawrence

Yeah it’s hard to evaluate, some of the throws were really nice. Howell had a huge 62 yd TD run too

Also, Stroud was extremely lucky on Saturday to not have multiple picks.

We shall see. Coaches seem pretty happy with Stroud so far and his numbers are dynamic. I have to guess they've seen both guys practice - Stroud has only been a starting QB since his junior year in HS so if that talent of Ewers is so unmistakable it would have already forced itself by now since Stroud wasnt as highly touted coming out of high school.

Ewers wasn’t able to practice until August 15th. He would have had the job if he was able to practice in Spring

Not his fault they lost though. Ohio State DC is an idiot. He called a bad game and was killed by the Ducks run game. Stroud did everything he could against a high profile defense (albeit lacking the best player in the country in Kayvon) and showed some progress from even the first week. 2 starts for Stroud and thats all he gets! Pretty funny.

When QBs have to throw the ball 50+ times you might expect some of those to be "possible" picks no? But alas it was only one in the closing moments on a forced pass.

Not sure why you're so low on Stroud and high on Ewers? Ohio State fan?

And Stroud numbers are ok, his play hasn’t been that great. Bulk numbers are solid, but he should have 4-5 picks right now. 3 alone in game against Oregon.
Not trying to knock the guy, but he’s a poor mans Haskins

Not even a little bit. Stroud is just not the player Ewers is.
I hope he does well this season, seems like a good kid. He just doesn’t have the physical advantages Ewers has

Shoulda, coulda, woulda. Why live in the alternate reality? He didnt throw the picks though, same things happen to alot of QBs so its a curious marker to bring up.

What do you mean? Stroud is bigger, with what looks to be a cannon for an arm. What physical advantages does Ewers hold over Stroud?

Not going to play that game with you. Dropped picks are a part of evaluation, if you want to claim he’s so good but ignore the luck he’s had that’s on you.
Why are you enamored with a slow QB with two games under his belt?

Stroud is a year older and same height. Ewers has one of the best arms in a generation and far more athletic.

Are you sure you know what scouting reports on these players are?

You're throwing around some pretty substantial hyperbole - "best arms in a generation". Cmon man. So because of that he's a no brainer success story in college football? Ok.

Im watching the games, not living in the scouting reports.
