Minny is thinking Love + Rubio = foundation, and they might be right.

Morey told some guy on Twitter that this team is going to suprise a lot of people and he's kinda right with a 1-5 start.

What this team needs and what it should be doing is looking for a closer and more 2-way players. To many soft one dementional players. Need more 2-way tallents Josh Smith, Gerald Wallace, Andre Igoudala types. I think if Brand/pick is available then you have to make that trade for sure and have Phillies and NY pick headed into this draft coming up.

That is where you start to really find opportunities to land a very good tallent. Right now the door is just 'cracked' it needs to be kicked wide open.

The next question is what do you do about Yao if a guy like Oden is available? Well if you dont draft his replacement (Kanter) you try to resign Yao at a resonable price. You also try to make a move for Rubio.

Kahn is right but Rubio will NEVER play in Minnesota and Love is already voicing his displeasure.

I'd be very cautious before going the route (yet again) of a PF/C combo. The rox have proven that to cause matchup problems that are nearly unmanageable.

Who said Yao is not going to be in the paint for more than 24 minutes?

As I know of as a Rockets fan, Yao just returned from a potentially career-ending injury, and this is the 6th game of the season. Right now he's averaging 21 minutes with 12.8 points and 6.5 rebounds along with 1 assist and 1.8 blocked shots per game. As a sensible human being, I wouldn't expect Yao to come back from this kind of injury and average 30+ minutes or put up the type of production he used to put up before the injury straight away. Instead, I see his performance right now as a "progress", the type of process a normal human being needs to go through in order to get back to shape after an injury like this.

Just give it more time before evaluating a player is done or not. You never, ever say someone is done 6 games into the season.

Besides, it might be true that his body right now might be more injury prone than before, but an assumption that he WILL get injured is simply not valid. You don't know, I don't know, nobody knows. Sometimes it is just a matter of luck for people to get injured, and every player in the NBA is playing with the same chance of luck every game.

we already have several Indians on the board already

lets go after this guy then we'll have not only overseas fans from China but also India!

7 foot and he is only 14!!!

and his name is Satnam Singh Bhamara

just imagine Clyde trying to say that three times fast the entertainment value alone with be worth his signing two fold over.

Unless the owner is a complete boob, Kahn will be gone long before Love is traded. You can always get a new GM, but decent bigs are the most valuable commodity in the NBA.

If we can get Love fine but i would rather get a bigger, stronger more athletic guy that has the mental toughness. We need athletes under the rim not guys who scored a 1500 on the SAT.

For all intents and purposes the Yao Ming era is over. The Rockets should go after a guy like Whiteside and bring him in and see if he can develop into a solid player.
