All the commercials and movies they've done have had the same voices, I don't think they're changing anything, sounds like a steaming pile of malarky to me.
Those posts are from like a year ago... For further confirmation, check out this article from 2 weeks after the one saying they were recasting http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118006765.html?categoryid=14&cs=1
I think I mentioned this here once before but Futurama is the only tv show, movie, story, anything to have made me cry. I shed a tear for it. A small tiny tear. The episode where Fry wants to bring his dog back to life. The ending... tears.
Bad news, everyone...the first two eps are not very good at all. I was very disappointed. Even Zapp was mediocre.
I don't think it ever got mentioned in this thread but the salary issues with the original voice cast got worked out and they're all back for the new episodes.
I thought the episodes were pretty funny. Even after all these years, the show brings back the same style of comedy. Honestly, I couldn't even tell it was a new episode.
They've been leaked online. I watched them a few days ago on http://www.justin.tv/directory/entertainment
They felt like late South Park: very... unenergetic and doesn't play on the original premise - a guy from the year 2000 transported to the future. I personally think they should feature the more recent "in" stuff that Fry was just shy of experiencing : the first black president, Facebook, etc.
I thought the first one was hilarious. The 2nd was okay, although I got distracted for the 2nd half of it. I also couldn't tell it was a new episode. Felt just like the old stuff to me. And just like the old episodes, people don't appreciate them when they first air on tv.
First one was great! 2nd was good, but not great. Of course my dish went out for 5 minutes at the beginning of the 1st... fukin lame
yeah, I watched them a few days ago. I was pretty disappointed and didn't think that they were any better than the movies. Hopefully it gets better.
