You really don't see the difference there? Let's say that was unintentional (lol), 2 wrongs don't make a right. The mexican players, coaches, and media seem to all be in agreement that it was a bad call. Why are you still trying to justify it.
I think both calls were wrong but not surprised both were called. Not justifying calls, only point out to everyone they are "calls," some are good and some are bad and all of them based on ref interpretation. Every ref who makes a call believes he made the right call at that moment. Why folks are so surprised when this happens in every league in every country in every tournament is crazy. Almost like the people that are most outraged have never watched a "soccer" match before. That crap happens all of the time people LOL!!! It's actually part of the game and if it bothers folks that much they should leave the game. It will never change. Okay maybe goal line tech and maybe replay but I doubt it.

So, 3rd place game today. 3 pm. Hoping they give the others the chance to play as this is about a meaningless game as there is. Maybe a lineup of Yarbrough Evans Gonzo Ream Beasley Yedlin Corona Mix Zusi Dempsey Gordon
I read they were going to in Beas to start the second half in what will probably be his last game for the USMNT. Hope they can send him off on a winning note.
US drawn into Group C for the 4th round of World Cup qualifying with Trinidad and Tobago and the winners of two 3rd round ties, which will pit St. Vincent and the Grenadines against Aruba, while Antigua and Barbuda faces Guatemala.
Unreal, that call was correct he is going down and his arm is extended in an unnatural state, a clear hand ball. DD
John Brooks.. Dunno if he has some dirt on klinnsman but why is he always starting at centerback?.. Can this dude give up anymore goals?
Wow, back-to-back losses at home. Big miss by Johnson and huge saves by Mejia to win it for Panama. Disappointing to say the least. Wonder if Beas plays in the October match or if that was his last kick in a US kit?
I just saw the highlights of panama mexico (because who cares for this cup). I really do not get the complaining of many here. The red card was a good call (one they should make more often). And both penalties wete also good calls. It seems like there are many posters with an anti mexico biase.
Panama wins 3rd place without winning a game LOL!!!!! Only in CONCACRAP. I agree, I've seen worse all across the world in even higher stakes situations. Just a few, Maradona's handball, Henry's handball, De Jong's Karate Kick in a final, Schumacher tackle on Battison, USA vs. Slovenia (Edu's disallowed goal), Lampard's no-goal, Frings handball vs USA, etc... I literally could go on and on and on. The outrage for this Gold Cup is comical. This stuff is normal in soccer it's just that Mexico was fortunate and the tinfoil hats come out.
Well duh! The majority of posters here are Americans. If it weren't for the mavericks, jazz and cowboys, I would have the tricolores #1 of sports teams I want to see lose every game. Both groups of supporters have been to known to cross the line when it comes to bad behavior against the other. Brasil has Argentina, Peru has Chile, Holland has Germany and the USA has Mexico. It is never going to be friendly, in fact it will always be uneasy to downright hostile. Always!
Oh I understand. I just do not like it. It kills a discussion. The hate for Germany has gotten less in the netherlands. I and others have actually been rooting for germany (after we were out of the tournament). They have been playing soccer the way dutchman think it should be played.
