If it's the use of the word "all" in my prior statement then jeez, let me placate you by changing "all the time" to "most of the time", or would "sometimes" suffice?
Hey, it's an NBA message board in which people can state their opinion on an NBA-related topic. If you don't care about the topic, why do you keep responding? It is something that bothers me as someone who still believes that you should keep certain things behind closed doors. My only intention was to mention that I think he's a jerk for doing this and post the article. I responded because you seem to think that it's all right for an owner to publicly state that his players basically threatened a mutiny and that is the reason he fired the coach- this opinion is your right, I just completely disagree with it. And Bill Davidson's quote received some criticism at the time, as well, for explicitly stating that the coach "lost" the players (which, by the way, is much different than saying that you bowed down to players and their agents on a personnel decision). The irony in all of this? Cuban hired a coach who has now been publicly cited for "losing his players." But you're right- Davidson said this leading up to the Hall of Fame induction. Still not the same as Cuban's situation. But again, if you don't care about the topic, don't respond. Simple.
Wow dude, don't get your panties in a bunch. you're the one getting vexed cos someone disagrees with your view on a thread you started. I may be wrong but I don't believe I said I don't care about the thread. What I did say was "Why should we care about this bit of news?" I responded to it because I felt like calming the good folk here like yourself that are getting all wound cos a pro-sports owner criticized or "bad-mouthed" a coach he fired. I'm not here to get in a sparring match online or whatever, just relax man. It seemed like you were terribly upset about Cuban's words and you explained your reasoning in this post. I disagree and think it's no big deal, but hey, we're entitled to our opinions so good on you for thinking it's a big deal and feeling the way you do. It's your right to do so. Anyway, like you stated, it's hilarious that Cuban basically hired a coach that lost his job the same way Avery lost his with the Mavs, by losing the locker-room. Can't wait to see how the Mavs season unfolds.
Jason Kidd is a coach killer. I won't put this on Cuban, unless he was the one that wanted to trade for Kidd. Whoever pushed for that needs to be fired. If it was Avery, giggity.
agreed. who cares about the Mavs, anyway. Rockets will smoke them fools, anyway. Now, about the Jazz....
Don't even say the name. The pretenders from SLC, I can't wait for our first game against them. Matter of fact, I know I'm tempting fate but I can't wait for the 09 playoffs to begin just so we get to play them again.(In the 2nd rd though).
