I agree, he'll be a top 5 pick, but that doesn't make him good. He'll be remembered with players like Sam Bowie when you remember him for being the second biggest bust of all-time.

I think you guys are pretty off on Mihm. He is quite a bit more coordinated and has better footwork than say a Montross, Ervin Johnson, Gieger, Dampier, Reeves, Longley, McIlvane or say Will Purdue. 7-footers with average bulk and athleticism (versus terrible in this department like the above guys) make it in this league and are well worth a 5th pick. Mihm will likely be a decent, but not great player, probably about the caliber of a Seikeley (sp), Smits, Lafrez, or E. Campbell.

As for the other guys, Penn is like 12 slots to low at least, Madson is like 30 slots to low (I have seen him play and I don't see his game translating to the pro's, he also is like 25 already), Loren Woods is way to high (a legit 7 footer with some athleticism--see Mihm), Santangelo will be lucky to be drafted at all, same with Sanchez (no pro game) and Najera. Just kidding about Najera, but I do doubt he is a first rounder.

I agree NO CHRIS MIHM!!! We should only get players who are just like the rest of the playes in the NBA, and most are black so no white guys. No Spanerds either, sorry NAHERA, there are no Spanerds in the NBA so HOUSTON shoud not draft you.

I would have to disagree with your list...and your evaluation of Mihm. I wasn't very impressed with Mihm his freshman year but he has developed into an outstanding center. He dominates the boards, has good range, and is a great shot blocker. He has played well against players his size. He needs to add some bulk and develop some stronger low post moves but is definately a top 5 pick. I say top 3. Porter will go top 10. Richardson will stay in school and Madsen? He will be late first round at best. Scoonie? Mid-late first rounder as well. I have yet to see Alexander ranked that high.

The reason my list isn't very good is because I just took all the athletes I knew off the top of my head and in 5 minutes listed them in the order I thought they were. Scoonie Penn will be a great PG in this league in my opinion and the Rockets should pick him up. The lineup would kick ass.
    C Dream/Cato
    PFThomas/Rogers/Draft?
    SFAnderson/Mobley
    SGFrancis/Mobley/
    PGPenn/Francis
Basically you would have Anderson at his natural position where he should play and 3 of the best guards in the league not to mention Norris if he stays. Drew, Williams and Massenburg are gone.

Scoonie is good but not worthy of the 2 pick. Porter will go top 10, Swift will go top 10, Fizer will go top 12, Madson will be lucky if he goes top 20. Guyton will go top 20, so will Barkely. E. Thomas will go top 20, Murphy will stay, Battier will stay, I bet Mihm stays too.

I'll go out on a limb and say right now that I think Porter is the best SF in the draft. The skills he has, you can't teach, in time he will develope a more consistant outside shot. Also, don't let his size fool you, Q Richardson is a 6'5" SF. He out rebounds 99% of all college players and his outside shot is not close to the caliber of a SG. Even though he's short, he will be awsome in the NBA, he plays big, kinda like Martin.

If we're going for a PF, I'd take either Swift or Fizer. They will both be stars in the NBA.

Fizer would be a steal at 13. He (arguably) has had as good a year as Kenyon Martin and should receive SERIOUS consideration for the Wooden award. His only problem -- Iowa State is not getting any T.V. time.

I doubt he would be available at the Rockets current draft slot -- I would be all over that one if he is still on the board.
