yea, he started playing around with a kid that CAME TO HIM. what do you expect to do? high-kick the kid in the face and get back to the game? he's an entertainer. his job is to entertain. he was on the jumbotron. he entertained the crowd by showing affection for the kid. some of y'all need to get real.

wow, all this from a single act? seriously, what do you expect tmac to do in that situation? gimme a scenario. if he brushes the kid off, he looked like a guy who hates kids. tmac's criticisms are fine really if you focus on his play DURING GAME-TIME, but this is getting out of hand. i guess if it was the playoffs, tmac can't go out to dinner with his wife for one day b/c he has to put all of his energy into the game . if it was his kid's birthday and it was game 7, he shouldn't celebrate it this is just unbelievable. i guess next time a kid wants to high-five tmac and asks for his autograph in a playoff game during half-time as he exits to the locker room, he should just wave him off really?

Plenty of people hate kids, thats no reason to expect a professional to stop doing his job. Tmac is a superstar he should have said "Security get this filthy little urchin off my damn leg, I have to think about the game right now." His mind should ever waver from basketball even for a second until the season is over. Last time I checked T-mac's kid wasn't forking over 21 mil for him to celebrate his birthday during a pivotal game 7. Tracy McGrady's occupation is to remained focused on the game at hand at all times, not sit there on the bench acting like The Pied ****ing Piper when we're in a playoff race. McGrady is setting a bad example for the younger players on this team with his unprofessional antics.

Exactly. If T-Mac really wanted to set an example for the young guys on this team, he would've gotten ANGRY about this. I mean, I think it'll ILLEGAL for fans to touch the players anyways. The kid should have been thrown out of the arena for violating NBA rules. I can't believe some of you guys are defending McGrady! He should've stood up and flung the little leech off of him. i think it wuz being a good sport, and if yall hate tmac so much why are you even fans of the rockets, why do you go watch his games, why do you expect so much from him if you hate him. anyways i wish carmello went to jail before our game with them, it could have messed up their mechanics
I expect him to rip that kid off his leg and throw him across the court. The Rockets aren't paying T-Mac to play with little kids, they're paying him to win. He needs to be ruthless instead of playing around. And no, T-Mac can't spend time with his family. I want him to stay focus and think about nothing but basketball 24/7.
