Yup. This is so ridiculously set-up that it's actually somewhat funny. I'm not saying whether the story is true or false, but all tall tales have some elements of truth in them.

This stuff is like the National Enquirer or something. If V-span plays for the Spurs Rockets' fans will be watching and it will be those who love him and hate him.

Would any fan in his right mind doubt JVG was a political coach? I mean this guy came from New York City where you have to be political just to survive the media. V-span was like a Foreign PRIMA DONNA which and the only thing JVG hates more than a PRIMA DONNA is a Foreign one. :D

The response of tinfoil-hat wearing looney tune born-again sackdanglers is the icing on the cake, at least that is what the Trilateral Commission told me to post.

Hadn't read this before but didn't need to. This attitude is why I said ask Beno, among others, how they felt about Pop and why I want V-Span there. The Spurs are bringing everyone back from a championship team and V-Span will be the only newcomer. Call it sick humor, but I want him on the Spurs. He will cry for JVG. Heh heh. V-Span's ears will fall off by the time Pop gets through with him. Wouldn't be surprised if he ran back to momma during the season. The NBA isn't for children V-Mac.

You know the thing that always gets me is, whenever Dana Perino or Tony Snow is presented with a FACT by a reporter during a press conference they ALWAYS use the term "conspiracy theory."

Sam if you really are a lawyer and know anything at all about the "connections" I am currently looking for a job that pays more so please feel free to give me the name of the local 33 degree chapter.

Guys...I can't believe anyone is taking this seriously. Article?! Hardly. I was hesitant about posting it, because it's just a bunch of gossip, but I was rolling on the floor when I read it. I posted it more for its comedic value than its value as a discussion piece.

C'mon...the spending money comment? basketball in barns? There's no way that JVG said any of this. There's no way humans with functioning brains would say most of this. Steve Nash? It's ridiculous.

My favorite, by far, is the "quote" from Yao. Is there any doubt that this guy is way out there after that?

V-Span is talented, no doubt. I watched Greece vs. USA last summer... amazing, but not NBA-ready. The guy never understood that no matter how much raw talent a player has, you can't flawlessly transition from any other league or level of play into the NBA.

PS: Just how close is BEXCELANT to the V-Span camp?

Actually, I think Span is quite humble. He only consiers himself as the 3rd best player in the team!

That original post is jibberish. It has just enough truth to keep people from dismissing it outright, but the balance is just outlandish.

What's hilarious is that the anti-JVG/pro-VSpan crowd wants this "article" to be true so badly, they're willing to overlook all the ridiculous claims made. If that's the way it's going to be, then I might as well profit from this somehow:

    <del>FOR SALE: Ocean-front property in Arizona</del>
EDIT: FOR SALE: JVG-HATING ocean-front property in Arizona, now with 33% more VSpan!

first off I don't see how JVG gets the axe without TMac and Yao being on the boat ... let me ask this, who CANNOT envision JVG making remarks like "go f*** yourself" or "they play bball in barns" ... coaches chew out players all the time, especially rooks who are in the doghouse

I definitely see VSpan being a sore subject between management, excited to have an international talent with potential, and JVG, who wanted veteran NBA bodies. everyone knows JVG prefers NBA vets, he's brought in a ton and many didn't pan out but still got minutes. and i can totally envision vspan asking whether he can expect minutes and mgmt saying "yeah, of course" ... i'm not saying it was promised, but i'm sure they suggested that he would be playing ...

of course alot of this is poor translation, exaggeration, etc. ... but man I can totally see a rift between JVG/Vspan and JVG/Mgmt ... that is why the guys weren't pissed off he left and why he was let go of so "ruthlessly"

No disrespect to the original poster, but dang the comments on this are more hilarious than the original email!

Thank you for posting this, I was having a boring day! It's better now.

I love sarcasm and dry wit!
