we better all get used to it because the way i see it, the spurs will win our division for a few more years, meaning that we will be in the 4-5 matchup with dallas every single year.
I gotta agree. It looked to me like the Rox got away with a few last night from the Mavs perspective this game illustrates what I was beyatchin about the Rox a few days ago. The team needs to play well enough to take the game out of the refs hands. So while the Rox might've gotten the benefit this time of a few bad calls when you lose by 18 its hard to say that the refs tipped the game. That's far different than when you lose by 3. In general though the refs have done a terrible job this playoff and I think all of us as fans of basketball should be pissed over the poor officiating.
you're right. it was a great rivalry in the late-80's...then the Mavs fell off the radar screen for about a decade. then we fell off the radar screen for about 5 years. but we're on our way up, now.
So I decided to register over there and raise some serious hell, but all for not .... "FYI We are not accepting new registrations at this time. " I wonder if others had beaten me to the punch and caused them to shut down the registration. Oh well, I'll wait till they do accept applications and then go to town......I am so going to get banned over there-It is now my life mission!
You got a good point... but I think if this continues to happen (a mediocre division winner gets the 3rd seed, and two great teams are in the 4-5 spot... one of which had a better record than the 3rd seed), the NBA will have to change its seeding policy. The playoffs should have been Dal vs. Sacramento and Houston vs. Seattle. Then, second round, you have: Dallas vs. San Antonio, and Houston vs. Phoenix... that is BY FAR the ultimate final four that should be there, but no... SA gets a free ride against Seattle, while either Houston or Dallas has to sit at home.
Hopefully they won't let you in ever, and certainly not while the series is going. Trolling other msg. boards is lame. Trolling these msg. boards is lame. By going over there you are only inviting the same response to happen over here. Thes boards have a tough task of keeping the level of discussion up to standards as it is. The last thing we need is someone going over and trying to break the agreed upon rules on other fan sites. I also have the supersticious belief that it makes bad Karma for the Rockets. After the first two games a number of Rockets fans went over to the Mavs board and started talking trash. We lost the next three games.
I know you're heart's in the right place, but why do that? Seriously, do we really need to invade their silly little website? I don't think so. We're better than that. EDIT: FB beat me to the punch.
After this series, I hate the guy (dirk). But please...he has ridiculous handles for a 7 footer. There are very few who can bring the ball up, drive it, drive and pull up, pull up off the dribble on a break, etc. His game isn't that diverse, but can still handle. Only KG has better handles among big men.. I think Duncan is a little below Dirk
I am not impressed with his handles. He has good handles for a man his size but not necessarily good handles overall. His handles are useless if he never drives or takes the ball up court with pressure.
I have to post this. SJC, you're the man! quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally posted by White Jump Shooter: "Have fun talking about that matchup in another 12 minutes when they close this sucka out." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Det The Threat Rookie Member # 2554 reply: Rockets closed it out nicely and will take game 7. T-Mac is a level above Dirk, and I am German and a huge Dirk fan. T-Mac >> Dirk Yao >>>>> Dampier Plus, Jon Barry and Mike James are clutch players. Dallas' bench might have a little more talent, but Houston's bench has more heart. Way more. http://www.mavtalk.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=004667
Dirk is a great player and I have no hate for him. Now terry, stackhouse, daniels, and howard are a different story. Cuban isn't that bad either. He even said he wanted to buy the Astros.
Here's another crazy quote. I think they're having a meltdown there, lol. DEEPMOZ Member # 1887 posted May 06, 2005 02:06 PM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- T Mac has been going crazy, and the series is tied 3 - 3. Nowitzki has been virtually non-existent, and the series is at 3 - 3. I could only imagine what this would have been like if Dirk actually played like Dirk. Regardless, you may have your "superstar" but we have a whole team. So for Dirk not showing up, it's great for us that we have a whole team to carry us. If T Mac twists an ankle, there goes your "team." http://www.mavtalk.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=004668 Right. We only have one player. (insert roll-eyes here)
