Was this before or after he dropped 33 (give or take a few) on Team USA?

Mavs fans are all idotic. They "won" those three games because refs pushed their over the edge with a few calls down the stretch. We won those three games because we donwright beat them up. It is not like refs took any of their key players out of the game.

Ha. I call farce. There's no way that's a Mavs jersey.

Actually, I think the Rockets did get the benefit of the doubt on some of the calls.

There were a couple of calls that could've gone either way and we got the calls instead of Dallas.

But that is a HUGE difference from game 5, where the two biggest calls (the out of bounds and the phantom foul) were NOT close at all.

Basically we just had the average home court advantage we should've enjoyed.

its pretty funny because I'm not from America or Texas, but from where I'm sitting it sounds a bit Like Springfield vs Shelbyville :D

If we were Mavs fans we'd whine about the same **** they are

If the Mavs don't want Dirk - we'll take him.

He is a bonafide All-Star and actually seems like a pretty nice guy. He was on that MTV prank show and came off very good. It's hard to hate the guy after seeing that episode.

I think this series has proven that while Dirk may be an All-Star, TMac is All-NBA.

I liked when JonG said, "Besides Stackhouse reacting to Barry's ****-talking, I don't think you could find one example of the Mavs acting without class."

I guess Howard flagrantly fouling Yao then trying to stare him down doesn't count as classless.

Or Dirk's, "Who, me?" whenever he happens to attempt to play defense and gets called for a foul.

    Exactly

How about the biggest guy with class? Their freaking owner Mark Cuban!

Fans will be fans. They aren't that different than Rockets fans. Some Rockets fans blamed the refs after each loss, now some mavs fans are doing it. Some people who are scolding them for blaming the refs turn around and blame the refs in the same post.

It's a close series. Refs have made bad calls against us for sure, but they have made some for us as well. But in each loss the losing team can blame themselves a lot more for the losses than the refs.

The point is that we played great last night. Our defense was super. Mike James really stuck with Jason Terry and didn't let him become the factor he was in other games. Deke was a monster protecting our basket. That was great basketball.

Well like kenny and charles say.

    not all all-stars are superstars.

Dirk is a great player but he's a tier below t-mac still. Dirk had the luxury of having other good players on his team and some successful seasons and some playoff success.

T-mac shows he was able to carry a pathetic orlando team for 2 years while having one bad season and he shows what he can do when teamed up with some good players. Toronto was formidable when he was there and now he's made Houston quite dangerous.

thank god there is a voice of reason here. We are all fans and get caught up in the emotion and excitement of it all. Not all mavs fans are idiots and not all rockets fans are either. It's the whole rotten apple spoiling the barrel thing. I blame the losses strictly on the players. Officiating can sometimes make it more difficult for the players, but there is always other factors that lead to losses...turnovers, missed free throws, missed open shots, etc etc...

One team plays better than another and gets the win, simple as that. Out of bounds calls, phantom foul calls...guess what, if we took care of business, those wouldn't even matter. They made things much more difficult for the Rockets to pull out an ugly win...bottomline, they don't deserve to win if they play that ugly...

    You know what? I agree.

I think this series has turned The Rockets vs. the mavbricks into a very healthy rivalry. A rivalry that never materialized until a few weeks ago.

Let 'em talk smack. It's all part of what make the rivalry so much fun.

The Ticket (the sportsRadio station up here in DFW) just went off on the UPN 21 Broadcast of the mavericks-Rockets games. It was great listening to these guys talk about how the commentators are terrible because they're SOOO biased.

"Wesley off the Yao moving screen for three"
"Yao moving screen..McGrady for three..its good"

they actually said this during the first quarter (had to watch the first quarter on local UPN (fuzzy-N) 21 because of the Boston-Indiana OT. Hate watching these guys. When Mutumbo made a block..these guys were flabergasted that No Foul was called...then someone piped in that it was a clean block...and the 2 main commentators didn't say a word about it.

Thats why the Mavs fans are complaining about fouls...they're listening to these fools. TNT was much more non-biased. Makes me miss listening to Bill & Calvin because they ALWAYS called the game fairly. They pointed out bad calls even when they went in favor of the Rox, and would say the the Rockets got lucky if there was a no-call that could've gone against us. Haven't really heard Van Chancellor...does he do the same thing or is he a Homer?

That said..it was great listening to the Ticket call out the local Mav's broadcasters..funny as hell.
