That's because he isn't running iso like he use to. He isn't holding onto the ball and passing it at the last minute.

The offense no longer comes to the same screeching halt it used to early on. And there are still plenty of times when I yell at the TV, "bad shot, man" - but they're going in. So technically... I'm still complaining.

The point is by continually going to him and letthing him learn Harden has become better.

Let the staff keep doing the same thing with Dwight!

If only Dwight was 23/24. It's not the same thing.

biggest difference is he's healthy. when his foot still hurt, he simply couldn't blow by people like he normally could, so the isos looked a lot worse and were in fact more ineffective. now that he's healthy, he has a ton of weapons to go to and all the step backs and power drives are much easier to get done earlier in the shot clock, plus the finishes are way more successful

he still Iso's but he's just simply a better player now. Key improvements are going strong to his off hand, which allows him to use the step back with conviction and nailing the in transition pull up 3 which is a big part of his point totals. In the playoffs though, when coaches can design better schemes, mchale better install wrinkles in the offense to be more creative

He still does dribble down the clock and dump the ball to someone to shoot the 3 with a few seconds left, but he does it far less now. I'm glad he's just shooting it or make a move. Makes it or not, at least he's not dumping the ball. And he's quite amazing at making those too now.

^This he doesn't ISO the way he used to, mostly it is just last resort or when he is feeling hot and he doesn't hold it till the clock runs out. He's learning.

Imagine how scary good, this team would be if Dwight hit his free throws.

Yes sir it would be scary good if both Howard and Jones were hitting around 75% from the free throws.

We'd be #1 scoring offense in the league ~110+/gm

His FT% is up 5% from last year. That's a BIG improvement.

As long as he keeps improving, I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. :p

He's only 28 - centers take longer to mature than guards.

Harden's repeated r****dation in the Iso situation has helped him learn how not to be r****ded in the Iso situation

Kinda like McHale let him miss a lot so he knows what not to do.

His current ISO's are an excellent example of the type of player he is. He's getting better, he's learning, he's making better decisions, and his game is improving. He's not a selfish player or anything of these types of things he's been labeled as in the past. He's a true MVP caliber player in the making. That's the difference between having great talent and just being hyped.

This. Complaints only come when we're losing or almost lose b/c of over-ISOing.

So we should keep letting Lin pick up his dribble in the paint?

    ;)

Only if he dons an ankle bracelet that administers some shock therapy when he does that.

Harden is learning to make his move earlier, get the shot off earlier in the clock, and pass the ball out before a double team can trap him.
