Groundhog Day Ghostbusters This Is Spinal Tap Dr. Strangelove The Princess Bride Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure And maybe I just have a different sense of what is funny, but... Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid!
I love the Austin Powers movies but I cannot simply name the funniest movie of all-time because I'm not sure there is one.
The funniest movie ever made was "Blazing Saddles". The only trouble is...you must watch it uncut, either on a pay cable channel or by renting it. Watching it on TBS or TNT does you no good whatsoever, because the funniest parts are all cut out.
Jersey Girl I actually had to think for a minute if it had even come out yet... so that one really must've blown... but dude, Chasing Amy! C'mon, it's hillarious!

no way. the character was triumphant in the end. maybe he didnt get to make HIS movie, but he had a movie made about him. and he became somewhat of a star because of it. and anyway I actually saw his movie "Coven" for rent at the video store.
I am stunned that it took 39 posts for someone to come up with Better Off Dead ("I want my two dollars!). The Princess Bride The first time I saw Weekend at Bernie's, it was gut-wrenchingly funny (and I was absolutely sober). History of the World Part One Monty Python's Life of Brian (I'm not the messiah!). Happy Gilmore
Well, Chasing Amy just wasn't on the Level with Mallrats, Clerks, Dogma, and Jay and Silent Bob in my opinion. The ending just sucked, and it felt like a chick flick too much at times. It did have it's moments, but I can't overlook No Jay And Silent Bob for the first hour of the movie.
I think all my favorites have been named already, most notable Big Lebowski and UHF. One I haven't seen named but thought was hilarious was "How High." It was a movie that just REVELED in its own stupidity. I mean, any movie with grave-robbing and corpse desecration is going to be funny, let's admit it. But the PURPOSE behind it... good God. I just couldn't stop laughing. I'm no rap fan, but Redman was a shockingly good comedic actor.
