Worth noting Thicc Tuck spent the evening trying to excuse a Russian invasion of Ukraine because..... he's a cuck loser who bet money on Ivan Drago like @Commodore

He also had on a guest who said Russia would beat us in a war. Because, Tucker ****ing hates the US military.

    Normal Patriot stuff.

Good lord. Carlson is an absolute shill for Putin. Incredible. Putin has crushed freedom of the press in Russia, jailed or murdered those willing to fight him politically, and has used Russia's military to steal territory from neighboring countries who were once conquered by Czarist Russia, and brutally kept subjugated by the Soviet Union, and when not doing that, Putin has used it to threaten and intimidate them. So what do we see on Fox "News" with a green light to lie? Tucker Carlson doing work for Vladimir Putin.

I remember working with a Ukrainian immigrant in 2017, and I'll tell you something I learned the first day I met him, that man hated Russia.

watched an old firing line episode last night with the last tsar's grandson, who had some interesting thoughts on the historical need for russian buffer states.

Obama/Biden acquiescing to Putin's annexation of Crimea seems much more relevant than what some talking head says about it seven years later.

Wasn't it the Republican controlled congress that voted down the proposal put forward by Obama/Biden to use military strikes in response to Crimea?

Obama had a pen and a phone; no need to wait for congress.

And with that kind of family line, people should luste
Well the constitution says that Congress needs to approve.

For the record, I am aware that Obama knew that sending that resolution would amount to nothing and yes, he could have ordered strikes without congressional approval.

However, if you, or any other Republicans are upset that he didn't use a military response, it is misplaced. The Republicans could have absolutely approved the request for military action. They refused and voted against it. So bemoaning that lack of response after the fact doesn't provide a stable ground for you or Republicans on which to stand.

You are absolutely correct. I was mistaken and conflating the Syria issue. My bad.

Really? With all due respect, don’t be naive. You would have President Obama go to war with Russia over their illegal seizure of Crimea without the support of Congress, one with a Democratic Senate and a Republican House, without a declaration of war, and without the support of our European allies, who had absolutely no interest in a general European war over Crimea, Ukraine not being a member of NATO.

    I would not, no.

I was responding to the counterfactual in FB's post about congress supposedly w/holding approval for proposed "military strikes", an assertion FB has since corrected above.

but the idea that liberals are dunking on Tucker for taking essentially the Obama position on Ukraine is rather hilarious.

But liberals aren't dunking on Tucker because he's against military strikes, they are dunking on him because he's defending Russia's position regarding the Ukraine.
