I think it's time we start a "Monta Ellis is Tired" thread. He's been carrying that offense for the majority of the year.

And you better believe that matters to Ellis...

The Chandler Parsons' contract, the gift that keeps on giving!

Brian Gutierrez notes Monta's averages in the fourth quarter post-ASB:

5 points, 40% shooting, 15% from three, 70% from the line, 34% usage.

Since the Rondo trade, Monta is fourth in the league in fourth-quarter usage among high-minutes players. Of the top 50 players in fourth-quarter usage during that time, Monta is 46th in true shooting percentage.

Bad timing for Cuban in the free agency market this summer, players expect a pay increase and he has to resign or new signs . How can he afford to without going above limit !

If he kept his core player they are going no where . Hard to think they can be a playoff team next year . I won't be surprised if they become 76er 2.0

Its actually rational and logical for the Mavs to hand over their offense to Parsons.

He is clearly their best option right now.

The interesting thing about the situation is this : Parsons and their coach had an early season clash for his weight issue, this definitely affected the decision on Parsons role in this team.

Monta has no right to complaint. Has he looked in the mirror lately? He is not ugly or anything, but he is nowhere near as handsome as Parsons.

Has anyone else seen the latest BBVA Compass NBA themed TV spot? "25. My new favorite number."

I enjoy Mavenfreude as much as the next Rockets fan, but this is being totally overblown. They are not "coming apart" or whatever. Yes, Ellis has been cold, but he's been a streaky shooter for a long time. It's a long season, and I'd expect them to finish strong, unfortunately.

They will be a force in the playoffs, as much as I hate to say that there is no denying teams will struggle against them.

Not surprising, vstexas09 has been riding that Cuban hype train all season long.

I don't underestimate the Mavs, but they are erratic. Dirk and Tyson are older, Monta will have to carry a fair load when he gets back. Parsons is up and down.

They are capable of causing an upset, but they are not likely to go very deep in the playoffs.

This was only true prior to the Rondo trade, when Dallas was putting up a historically dominant offense. After the Rondo trade they ended up being just a mediocre team since they ended up sacrificng their historically great offense some more defense, I would be surprised if they ended up going to the 2nd round.

Ok, now you're just being obnoxious with this. Stop it.
