Hey SwoLy-D.... I posted earlier this year that I was going to visit my dad in Calgary and needed some Fathers day gift ideas. You gave me a rep and in it, you told me to wish my dad a happy fathers day.

I thought at the time, what a kind and considerate friend that SwoLy-D is. Plus, he has good grammar!

But, it's not like our posts/paths have crossed that often, thought I....

Then I started wondering. What if SwoLy-D was just punk'n me and maybe he just enjoys cracking the knuckles of those less grammatically inclined than he.

    Which is it, SwoLy-D?

How do you feel about the term 'wetback'?

Probably the Nachos Supreme. I used to eat one of those at least once a week during my first four semesters of night school in college.
I thought I can speak an opinion and offer some insight. I don't mean to "ruin" threads one particular person posts, I just offer a different point of view. You had it right the first time.

You aren't blind. You just failed to notice a couple things. It's not the same thing. People can sometimes overlook stuff. It's nothing to be ashamed of.

I like them. Am I against it? No. And NO to the last question.

I don't know what options you're giving me, but I honestly wished your dad a happy father's day because you obviously think he deserves it. I am in no way intending to shame those who are not grammatically inclined.

It's derogatory and it usually means to hurt the addressee's feelings, but it doesn't make a difference to me. I don't mind it. Sticks and stones might break my wet bones, but words would never hurt my humid back.

What do you think B-Bob wrote before deleting his post?

I'm thinking it has sumpin to do with this:

Or maybe it has sumpin to do with NO ONE can catch you in a grammatical error, so we are all jealous??! Do you mind me misspelling "something" on porpoise?

Which computer languages and/or certifications do you suggest mid-career professionals learn to enhance their marketability? Would you suggest an AA/CS program at a CC or a New Horizons type training program?

I wished I knew what you posted and deleted, B-Bob.
    1) I think he was going to ask something extremely personal, but decided not to. Knowing B-Bob and seeing his posting pattern, that might be it. It's just an assumption of mine. 1b) I agree with you. 2) Nope, I don't think it has anything to do with anyone catching me in an error, because no one is jealous. If they are, it is not my intention to make them so. 3) I don't mind that you misspell 'something' as "sumpin." It's comical and makes me smile.
In your stomach there are 2.6 apples, uneaten are .4 apples, and from the ones you took away are seven.
I've taken New Horizons. They're pretty good. That was back when they were on Bering street. If you need just quick training, that's the way to go. If you have time, and want lots of individual help or do lots of homework so you're practicing at home and having your work checked by a TA or a professor, take them at a CC. I would recommend an object-oriented language (Java, Visual Basic, etc.), and a non-object-oriented language (Fortran, c++, etc.), so you can compare the two and know the differences. I know a bit of a bunch and a lot of a couple.
Because that's the opinion of whoever is being annoyed. To some, it won't seem that way.
    Yes.
I don't exactly remember what color, but I think I'd do what NEO did. I would take the RED pill.
That's easy: it was Doc as he was telling Wyatt about death. His hypocrisy knows no bounds. He wasn't as sick as he made out, either.

When giddyup defends a derogatory, racist term like that how does that make you feel?

My mother's fertilized egg and my dad's sperm, the ovary, out the uterus lining and via the birth canal.

Seriously speaking, I'm from a small Mexican town named Reynosa. It is a border sister town with McAllen, Texas.

I don't think I have a "favorite" right now, because I hardly have time to watch something as religiously as I did the last one. The one I mention that I watched without missing it at all, and for which I own many of its seasons on DVD is The Office, and I used to watch it non-stop and even the re-runs, until after the season Michael Scott left. After that, I didn't have time to watch it and it didn't attract me as much.

For the most part, yes it is. Many people will just hurt each other. Although this is a sad reality, you can stay way from that by honestly working towards your success without stepping on anyone's toes and also not taking advantage of anyone else. Play nice.

I don't think I have ever read or witnessed that. If I had, I would tell you how I'd feel, but I haven't read it yet. I would say it would make me feel a bit disappointed that someone in this forum would believe it's OK to defend something like that. I'd probably brush it off shortly after.

How come dogs don't live for a very long time compared to humans but turtles can out-live them?

One of the many theories in regards to the long lifespan of the turtle is because of their protective shell which allows them to protect their more sensitive bodies from the natural elements. Some turtles have been known to surpass 200 years!

In regards to the comparison of the lifespan from shorter (dogs), to "normal" (Humans), to longer (turtles), the reason of which is unknown, is due to their body make up, their daily life, and their interaction with other males and females of the same species, their exposure to disease and fatigue, etc.
