My thoughts on this game... Mexico is more than holding its own. However, I can't help but get the feeling that it's only a matter of time before Argentina gets another goal to seal this one. Seems like they were caught off guard with Mexico's play early in the game that resulted in that goal, but to their credit they have made the adjustment to counter it (probably more of a mental adjustment than anything else). That being said, I think Mexico is playing very well, hope they can keep this up...
Impressive display bu Mexico. Props to them for taking it to Argentina and not playing defensively and conservatively. Man, Crespo missed a great opportunity with that little flick over the keeper. Gabriel Heinze is having a horrendous game. First he gave Marquez way too much space on the goal, then he had a brain fart on that pass from the goalie and got the yellow. Mexico's playing the offsides trap to perfection so far but it is dangerous to rely on it. All is takes is one defender losing focus, and not staying even with the line to cost them. I would love to see some bonus futbol this afternoon. OT please!!
Very poor the job of the referee, he is falling on all the argentina flops And that yellow card, it was a red card, the mexican player is going to be all alone and the argentinan player tackle him. Mexico is playing excellent GO MEXICO!!!!
Mexico is definitly holding their own and if they could have held that lead it would have been good but they gave up the goal to crespo way to quick and let the match be even. Like you guys have said i really think it's a matter of time before Argentina breaks away and pulls another goal out. They have had some nice chances but Crespo didn't capatilize.

haha ... that doesn't change the fact that they got lucky to get that offside call. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Its better to be lucky than good, and even better to be both.
Whoa! I could've sworn that was a goal! (there is no way that was an offside) Well, I was rooting for some OT playing anyways, so I guess it's all good. Anyways, major kudos to the Mexicans, they're playing aggressive, poised football and have put themselves in a position to advance to the elite 8 round. They've shown a lot of heart, it would be great if they cap it with a goal here in the OT period. BTW, I think Argentina is showing signs of fatigue, I REALLY think Argentina is there to be had if Mexico is the aggressor here.
