That sucks that they don't get to play a heads up match to decide their fate.

It will rarely happen. I predict Corea and France will proceed.

Well, I have LONG stopped watching Chinese soccer. It just sucks. With all the achievements in almost every other Chinese sports, it's even more pathetic. Tough loves from both gound up and top down is what it needs.

I agree with you that the media in China sucks but I really see the improvement in our players attitudes and the determination of our officials. Gambling is one of the biggest problem we are facing now... :( However, I still root for my home team every time they play against other country.

Ukraine played well as did Spain but Spain had mostly reserves in there to start. Nothing too impressive really.

Of course, I knew the US would not do well, but the door was open...

I am dissapointed, but in reality, the way they played, they didn't deserve to go in...

    Viva Mexico...

Don't know if this has been posted yet, but this thread is too big and I don't feel like looking for it.

    Anyways, check this out.

^You type in your first and last name then it generates a Brazilian name for you. If I played for Brazil my name would be:

    JULIILDO

The Swiss have scored the first goal. Looks like my hope for "drawn lots" is diminishing. :(

I never realized people on this board paid so much attention to soccer. Houston's MLS team must be a big draw down there.

Compared to this, MLS is kindergarten level soccer, not withstanding the appeal of a titanic Dyanmo-Real Salt Lake clash

Korea is in trouble. If France defeat Tongo, Korea is out, even it manages to tie the game (Swiss scored one more goal than they did, I believe).

Korea maybe out of luck. :(

    I am the great Ghorbanardo

Anyways....man France is having a lot of chances but getting denied by Togo everytime...definitly can see the sense of urgency in France's eyes right now. I would hate to be them if they don't make it and have to go back home.
