it's not that bad...the guy did push pingpong..it's not like he didn't do anything...it's just that it wasn't really a great scoring chance...

Wow. What a freaking bush league call... I'm simply stunned at the stupidity of some of these refs. This is the world cup, you can't call flops in the box for a pk!!!

it wasn't a flop...i don't know what you were watching...you are not allowed to move someone from the position they have secured...the Defender was ON Pingpongs back...he kinda used his weight to push him down... the only concern is that it wasn't such a great scoring opportunity. the ref could have let it go.

The difference between getting screwed in Basketball and getting screwed in soccer is massive. Since there are typically 2-3 goals, a penalty kick is like giving a 40 point free throw to DWade.

Now having said that, the US team has looked unimpressive all tournament, and will have to earn their way through now.

Swoly, I don't know why you have a chip on your shoulder, but it is getting old.....

Most of us supported Mexico and are happy they got through.

I don't know why you have now switched to Anti-US....but we would appreciate it if you would flip back to US for the 2nd half.

USA is not gettin screwed by the refs. They're making stupid mistakes and not playing with any fire. Want someone to blame, blame the players.

It was a horrible call, but we should have never been in that situation if the ball was cleared properly. We gave away 2 goals by bad play in the defensive 3rd. We absolutely cannot make mistakes like that to give the ref a chance to screw us.

    P.S. Get Eddie Johnson in!

No, I didn't flip nothing. I am sarcastically quoting RocketManJosh for reading me incorrectly about not wanting Ghana to score 3 on Estados Unidos. It freakin' hurts ME, too, to see that after a while of enjoying that 1-1, the freaker ref calls the bullsh*t call. It's ON, DD, I don't know if you've noticed... I WANT the US to go through... give Brazil a tough time... ... the last goal by Dempsey redeems the shiznit I have been saying... that goal pumps it up... I just hope everyone sees you should be happy to go through by playing better...

No doubt they need to play tougher, who cares if you lose 5-1 if you force the action, there is no honor in losing 2-1, when you need to win.....ALL HANDS IN THE BOX.....stat !!

You are not supposed to play with fire.

That call was only given because of Onyewu's size advantage over the other guy. The same **** happens to him in the Belgian league, I'm not surprised

Also, this ref is the same **** who threatened Harry Kewell with a ban after the Australia-Brazil game. He really shouldn't be there

The London Times matchtracker called the PK a "horrendous decision"

No I didn't read you incorrectly ... My quote about is you referring to US fans throwing it in your face about Mexico as the reason you don't cheer for the US. I could care less if you cheer for the US, but if that is your reason, then you are going to have a chip on your shoulder in everything you do in life. Many of us cheered for Mexico and many didn't. Root for the US .. Root for Ghana .. I don't care ... Quit crying about some US fans that don't root for Mexico
