What he said...A lot has to happen for the US to play some more, but if they do win and Italy wins, then I'm sorry, they will not get past the next round... :(

I've just recently gotten into the whole soccer thing (within the past year) and this is the first time I've gotten to see a lot of the countries play with some background knowledge of the game.

It seems to me that a lot of these countries get by on reputation. Brazil is the "favorite" but they haven't impressed me at all. Argentina (despite their Euro-style flopping and dramatics) seems like the best team in the tourney so far.

Brazil is always a favorite no matter what because they are always that good..but this year despite their talent they are not playing all that well. They have to bench Ronaldo and get their best team out there because he is really hurting the team...Argentina and Spain look really really good to me...as well as Germany, but their defense is a bit lacking right now.

Yeah he started in place of Crespo since Crespo has a yellow card already in the last game. Probably don't want to risk him getting another one.

The thing to be cautious about Brazil though is that they can bring their C game and still beat most teams, which is what they've done the last two games. When they start to gel (and start Robinho), they are scary.

This is NOT the way Mexico is supposed to go on to the next round... that's US style... with other teams' help... just like 2002... needed Korea to win... we played absolutely badly... Jared Borgetti will be back for the next game... you're right, SamFisher, not after that missed pk... :(

You want to remember what ended up happening in 2002? Enough with the pot shots.

So... what I said is not true? I don't get it. Mexico didn't need anyone's help this cup. Will YOU get some help? Will your team win at least ONE game? Don't make me laugh... what I said has substance. We don't need other teams' help. We WIN. if you can get another 2-0 against a team that win some games, while you go in with other teams' help, do you cheer, or do you accept you played poorly? I will eat my words if your team wins this next game.
