That yellow for dive is a bit harsh.

Wow - 2nd yellow card for flopping.......the NBA needs to adopt those rules.

    LOL !!

He should play for the Mavericks as much as he is choking here.

1 more goal for Portugal and Angola and Mexico is toast.

This group is really weak, none of these teams are going to go anywhere.

I am beyond dissapointed in my team....this is just a pathetic showing for a team that destroyed Asia in qualifiying and even did well in friendles....i expected a lot more and this is just sad to watch....

Considering that the winner of this game gets the Netherlands, and the loser gets to be punked by the Argies or vice versa I'd say you're right.

From a tip on the board...download TVUPlayer and it has all the channels and you can watch it..i am watching it right now. You don't have to worry about anything anymore cause you can watch all the games.

It just really sucks to come in with expectations. All other teams were saying we are one team to watch coming out of Asia, and we look like a pathetic team to the whole world when we played so well before....that's what sucks i guess in a big way.

On the biggest stage you show up like a weak team..

EDIT.................WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO at least we tied it up......

    TIE GAME

We dominated the whole game....and were down a goal and we get lucky to tie it....it sucks....if we played bad this game i would be really pissed...we played really well only to have a tie....

I am very impressed with Mexico's creativity around the box, and their grit, but their striking is horrible.

They should have at least drawn with Portugal (who is not that strong a team either).

This group is not all that great.

Mexico and Portugal are not top level, and Iran and Angola are just cannon fodder.

Yup, Mexico has looked excellent at getting the ball upfield and into the box, then just abort themselves when it's time to put it away. Borgetti is sorely missed.

Mexico is crap. They string together some nice passes but rarely produce quality chances in the last third, like a couple people here have mentioned. It's not exactly like Borgetti is a world-beater either, so that's not an excuse. I expect them be thoroughly raped next round. It looks like it's going to be Argentina, but I wish it were the Netherlands they were playing, since it would be hilarious to see the miniscule Mexicans contrasted with the freakishly tall Dutch.

Other comments- England sucks. I love how, more than anybody else, limeys like to get a good laugh in at the US's controversial FIFA ranking, but their team is just plain sh*t relative to the hype. They could get lucky and poach some headers to advance, but they just don't impress me at all. Also, hell will freeze over before Joe Cole goes left with the ball, Frank Lampard is overrated, and I have no idea why they don't play Aaron Lennon more; he's the only player on their squad with legitimate pace.

My prediction for winner will be from a pool of Spain, Argentina or Germany. I just think it would be great to see a country like Germany, which has been so self-conscious about nationalism, to get back to their roots and be whipped up into a semi-maniacal, rabid fervor of unbridled passion for the fatherland.

I don't think either Mexico or Portugal will pass the first round with the competition you face in the next round...
