They actually have a pretty solid defense. Both Toure and Eboue have proven themselves in the Premiership and the Champion's League and Zokora is an excellent defensive midfielder.

I'm not worried. I'll take 1-0 wins the entire World Cup.

Yeah, I guess I missed the part of soccer 101 that says 1-0 isn't a victory.

Really looking forward to the World Cup from an Australia perspective and even though it will be a challenge seeing the side progress to the 2nd phase the improvements already seen under Guus have been worth every penny.

Very good friendly a few days back against the dutch and managed to keep them scoreless in the final 30 minutes with 10 men. The match against Japan first up is the most important in Soccer history in Australia and will show just how much a chance Australia have of moving on.

Guus is a great coach that will do wonders for Australia. He single handedly improved the soccer development of South Korea the time he was their coach. Australia has never done very well in the World Cup but I think that could change with Guus at the helm. Hopefully, he does to Australia what he did the South Korean side in 02....

Im rooting for argentina and the US.

I'm from an argentine family and have grown up with that culture even though i was the first one in my family tree born in the US.

I'm really excited and look foward to some very exciting games.

I root for USA first and then I'll probably pull for the other CONCACAF teams.

    After that, we'll see.

I am somewhat pessimistic about USA chances in this WC. My prediction is 0-1-2 or 0-2-1. I think people are underestimating Ghana, I watched the African teams and Ghana are a solid squad, and African teams are always underestimated. I think one African team will perform similar to what Senegal did in the last WC, there are a lot of good teams in Africa; Tunisia is a good team as well.

1-0 is a win, but it won't help you if two other teams beat each other 1-0...OK, sorry, dudes... make sure every team you want to beat 1-0 has 10 men for most of the match, then:
against 10 men and only a 1-0 win, huh? Nice, yeah, I will take my 4th place FIFA ranked win.
Stack24, how about I join you at the viewing parties for the other games Iran plays...? I'd like to check them out at Live.
