    They played well against Italy as well but they've taken it to another level in this one. I think the USA should worry about Italy first.

    Ghana has better athletes than US for sure, but if US can keep possession of the ball, they may be a better matchup against Ghana.

    you can't pass to another player if there is no one from the opposing team in front of him?

    There has to be one defender between you and the goal when the ball is PASSED.

    You are not allowed to start your run until AFTER the guy has passed the ball.

    So, you have to be at least even as the ball leaves the passers foot.

    If you are behind the defense you are ineligible for a pass.

    You can't pass to another player if there is no one from the opposing team in front of him at the time of the pass. Once the ball leaves the passer's foot, you can run whenever you want.

    The rule is meant to prevent teams from chucking long balls down to players camping in front of the goal, which makes games really ugly.
