I record all the matches and watch them at night. I have a collection of all matches since the '94 world cup. I had most of the '90 world cup but it was recorded when I was in Africa with a different system so they wouldn't work here.

With as many goals from outside the 18 as there have been so far in this Cup, I'd love to see what Rooney does with this ball. He loves to tee it up from outside.

Yeah... how is THAT (the inability to play DVDs or VHSs in other countries? I have never experienced that. We could discuss in another thread... we could also discuss WHAT TO DO with all these *.dvr-ms and *.mpg and *.avi files we have of the recordings... I am doing the recording from the Univision network on my Media Center PC... perhaps we could share what we don't have once we clear out some disk space... is that OK with you...? I am also only selecting a few to keep... definitely saving the Trinidad games... :D

EDIT: GREAT shot by Saborio... denied by the cross bar... ... CRC should score at least once against ECU... I keep saying ECU will make GROUND MEAT out of POLAND

All the matches I have are on VHS. I need to buy a DVD recorder to transfer the better games before the quality of the tapes begins to diminish. I also have alot of the Euro 2000 games and all of the Euro 2004 ones. I would love to get my hands on some of the matches from Italia '90 if you have them so we could trade. Do you have Cameroon vs Argentina, England vs Cameroon, Argentina vs Germany (final)? Those are a few off the top of my head that I would love to have.

EDIT: We can discuss this once the WC is over and we have withdrawal symptons. ;)

Ecuador might even have a chance against Germany, The germans are not that good, so maybe the ecuador can avoid playing england in the next round.

This is where the USA got screwed, in group selection. I wish Fifa seeded teams like the NCAA does.

That way you don't have 3 legitimate number 1 seeds in the same group like the USA does.....

Maybe FIFA knew what they were doing when you look at the results to this point. I am still trying my damnest to be positive about Saturday's game against Italy. It's real hard, though. A win or a tie will do wonders for the team. I just hope that Ghana can actually pull off a tie with Czech Rep. so that they'll have something to play for against Italy next Thursday.

They didn't get a favorable draw this time around, but then the US plays in such a weak region and can breeze through qualifying so I don't really see too much injustice there. If we had to go through UEFA or even CONMEBOL to get to the finals I don't think we'd even be having this discussion.

Viva Ecuador, btw. I need an underdog team to pull for and they might be my caballo.

DaDa, I have been saying the following since post #1 and previous threads on seedings:
    THERE IS NO LEGITIMATE NOTHING.
If you can beat team #1, you can beat team #32. If you can beat team #9, you can beat team #10. If you really want this cup, you can beat ALL #32 teams, even if you play #1 today and #2 a month from now.

Rivaldo, I have almost ALL of them from '2002, when I started recording... my family ALL have the 94through98... I know they do somewhere... we also need A LOT of STORAGE space... :D

Easy for you to say - Mexico is doing well! :D :D :D

Even if they don't advance, US needs to suck it up and in the next two matches show the world they deserved to be there.

Not really, oomp... NEVER had Mexico been seeded in the top 8, and for that we didn't even cry... even without a TOP SEED in previous tournaments, we never said SH*T regarding those stewpid seedings... crying gets you nowhere... did we make it to the Quarters before? Yes. Did Estados Unidos? I won't answer that one. :(

    Swoly,

    You are simply wrong.

There are clearly teams that are better than others...CLEARLY...and if you have 3 good ones in the same group, you are hurting the WC all together.

Several groups have one powerhouse, one ok team and 2 duds..

It screws over the fans....but you are correct you have to play the ones that are in front of you.

Mexico has an easy draw....good luck to the tri-coloros.

In that case, DaDakota, we should change the name of the tournament to "Better Seeded Teams Cup". I know more of you out there agree with me. Who cares who you have to go through? Beat EVERYONE. It's called the WORLD CUP for something... I won't rest until you stop crying about the seedings... I thought we settled this already...

xcharged, why are you telling everyone about what I do at work under my cubicle? :(
