I think the US is toast....losing 3-0 makes it VERY difficult to get through.....VERY difficult, you have to think when Italy and Czech play, one of them may be through already and prone to resting their players, thus screwing our chances.

We have to beat Italy by at least 2-0...IMHO.

How's your defense. I didnt see it tested with Serbia much. You may need it once you face tougher opponents in the next round. You also need one guy to hold the ball and distribute, like I say you dont have one. Van Bommel is more like a defensive Midfielder, and his technique ability, oh Well ...
I see Cocu is trying hard. How old is he? I always like him, but he's not technical either. You just need one of these guys like Joe Cole, Riquelme, Kaka, then you will be next level.
I am real worried Robben wont even sniff next round due to injury. He needs to watch out.

Nobody beats Italy by 2:0. Probably not even Brazil. One thing Italy knows well is pack in and defend. Defensive ball is usually boring, but their denfense is a beauty to watch.

We are up against the wall now. Beat Italy. A tie won't do it.

I wouldn't look too deep into those rankings... those rankings also say US is #5(YEAH RIGHTT BWAHAHA).. italy at #12 or so right now is light years ahead of US in terms of soccer/futbol evolution. they are not even in the same class

They said that they are going to change the rankings after this world cup if i am not mistaken..its a joke to me that teams that play the most international friendlies and matches just move up in rankings..not very accurate when all the teams don't play a set number of games against the same competition or league style that we can really judge how good they are.
