Dissapointing from a Mexico fan's standpoint, but there's a second half. What I like about this tournament so far is how well these underdog teams are playing. Makes watching other matches enjoyable. It has been a great start to the cup so far.

The Spanish broadcast is so much better..Who cares what their saying? You get to see the teams come in,the national anthems, politics are checked at the door, and the passion of the game is captured in the commentary.
Incidently,I can't help but comment that the more our guys keep pouring into soccer rather than football, basketball, and baseball, the more impressive we(USA)will be.I'm looking for quaterfinals at the minimum this year. It's just a matter of time before we are in the final.

    Ditto.

I hope you're right. I would consider it a success if we advance to the next round, in which case we will play Brazil, whom I think are on another planet even compared to some of the best teams in the world, let alone the USA.

The thing I like about the world cup is that we get to see the different styles played all around the world.

Mexico always plays a haphazard game, aggressive and pushy, and the Netherlands a controlled game. It is fun to see different styles clash and to see which side can impose their style on the other.

    LOVE THE WORLD CUP !!

Not if we win our group, then we would not face Brazil until the final.

    USA !!! USA !!

For some reason this game just doesn't seem as entertaining as the last couple of games I watched.

They both play sloppy soccer, but that creates chances too.

on a side note, ties are ****ing boring.

how many ties have the dynamo had, virtually all their games?

what in the **** is the point of a tie in soccer?

and people wonder why Team America dislikes soccer.

Both teams are pretty sloppy. Although Mexico should be the better team, they aren't playing like it, which seems to be the history of Mexico in WC tournaments, they never seem to play up to expectations.

EDIT: There the ABC announcer goes again with Nazi/Holocaust talk, the guy just can't let it go, he insists on talking politics.

I'm trying to get into the World Cup thing and I'm glad I'm watching. I'll definitely check out more games but I have to agree with the tie thing. Ties are just completely lame and a waste of time. When you play a game, there should be a winner and a freaking loser. None of this tie crap.
