I really wish that last flop by Ronaldo was called a Yellow card...that is just complete crap.

They should just rename the flopping Yellow card, the Italian !

    ;)

On his flop did you see him looking at the ref before he even hit the ground....pathetic.

In this world cup though i would have to put Portugal much more ahead in flopping than Italy....

Hey 3 of my favorite teams have made it to the final 4 But i have to root for Zidane because he was one of my favorite players after Roberto and Dina Baggio back in the day.

I wonder what Rooney will say to C Ronaldo the first time they meet in MAN U's training camp after the WC.

yeah that's what i said in my earlier post...on the way down he is looking dead at the ref and crying on the way down as well...that's just damn sad and if i were the ref that should have been a yellow card....after that move he could have got to ball instead he decided to flop around on the ground...just pathetic..

I will stand by my words that i enjoyed when Iran played them that our defender Kaabi cleated Figo in the face and beat the living hell out of Ronaldo and he is all of 5 foot 5....he really showed them what a foul is..instead of that flopping crap.

I used to live in Manchester, and I can tell you they are REALLY mad at him right now, but that will pass.

    He has already started

As a Man U supporter, it would be stupid to get rid of him, especially if Rudd is going to be gone.

Ronaldo is one of the most over hyped players right now i have seen him since 2 years ago when he was playing in the olympics and they said he is this and that...all i see out of him is dribbling and flopping nothing more..he hasn't shown up in any game...he takes ill advised shots from long range and nothing more...to me he's not worth keeping...bring in someone who can really play.

If they wanted to put an American announcer in the booth, forget about Dave O'Brien put in Gary Thorne.

edit: looked like the goalies view was blocked

plus he was terribly out of position.

nice strike though. but probably should be been blocked.

How did he block the view when he was behind the player shooting the ball, he was out of position, but it was not an disadvantage for the goalie.

The goalie should have saved that ball.

I thought it was the ref on the first replay, but it was a german player.

Wow that was a great shot by Bastian....Germany is going to have some great players again for the next world cup with these young guns like Klose, Podolski, and Schwinstieger...

did you guys see kobe in that nike soccer commercial with ronaldinho in it? he looked funny as hell trying to juggle that soccer ball

i think you guys are being a bit too harsh on the italians and portugese by singling them out for flopping....every teams has players that flop and when players, no matter who they play for, realize that they might be able to draw a foul, they flop....klinsman, the coach of germany, was notorious for doing that as a player

there are certain players on portugal and italy that flop a lot, but you shouldn't indict the whole team....pirlo of italy is somebody who plays hard and never flops and so does deco of portugal and there are other examples as well

however, i think we all see where the foreign nba players get their flopping skills from

one last thing, i asked this earlier, but what's the longest thread in clutchfans history? this has to be up there

Klose isn't young as far as soccer goes...he's 28, which means he'll be 32 next world cup...i dunno if he'll be that effective of if he'll even be on the team...he might be, because he's just a goal poacher

The German team looks really good today. Its' a shame that they wont be playing in the final match.

The German No.7's (I won't attempt to spell his name :p) right leg is a cannon.

Wow, your right i forgot he came into the last 2 world cups young...time flies doesn't it...but im sure at 32 he will still be fit enough to play well as a striker for Germany.

your analysis is flawed and full of holes....maradona was the best soccer player of the 1980s and he was pudgy and overweight....also, johan cryuff was one of the best players of the 1970s and he was tall, lanky, and quite unathletic....that's not to say some american athletes woulndt've had been good if they played soccer their whole lives, but it's just a bit more complicated than that...last, i'm sure professional soccer players would excel at other sports if they concentrated on them...i could see t. henry, adebayor, or eboue in the nba
