    Hey Swoly,

You know how we were talking about the Iran - Mexico game and how the 2 halfs were completly different in their play. Well just found out some more details from people i know in europe and during halftime there was a huge fight between the Iran players with Karimi calling out Daei for not playing well and being lazy, well that didn't sit to well with some players and the morale just came crashing down.

i can't believe how much politics there are in football...i mean even your team had some conflict before the world cup and it sucks that it totally messes up the game. Because everyone could see how different we played in the first half compared to the second half.

I read that as Elton Brand's England team and wondered what an NBA player had to do with England's soccer team.

both france and portugal with chances to score thus far 4 mins in...imo france would be dominant if cisse hadn't broken his leg in that warm-up match right before the world cup

That should be USA vs Portugal with the chance to go to the World Cup.

We would have killed Brazil 10-1. Then we would have Nuked France 37-0.

Then we would have torn up Portugal 117-2, and meet up with the Italians again.

    Yes 1-0 france.

That is sweet that a flop against portugal results in a penalty, and thatway france gets the lead :D

Cusse was useless in Liverpool this year. I don't know why France doesn't play Trezeguet more with Henry. He only scored 23 goals in Serie A this year.

Why cause just like the rest of the world Clutchfans is showing what is the most watch sport?

Why get mad when it's just the truth. More people in the world tend to be a bit more passionate about soccer than other sports...especially something like the world cup.

I wouldn't say he was useless...maybe, as many commentators have suggested he wasn't used properly by Liverpool...He was used as a winger instead of a role playing up-front. Nevertheless, he still scored 19 goals during 2005-2006 and he's way better than Florent Malouda who's been his replacement. In relation to Trezeguet, I completely agree.

Dude, that's complete nonsense. Germans love Italy and Italians.

That can be a mistake as well...when they fall back like that...i have seen it happy too many times...when you start playing defense only it can have consequenses.

The portuguese insists on the flopping, they should play instead of diving in the box.

Yup...watching the replays it's amazing to see hwo many times they flop when there is little or no contact...it really takes away from the game....

Stack24, :( Dude, that's bad, :( I'd hate to have MY TEAM go through something like that... Karimi then should have stayed quiet...

I think Mahdavikia didn't know about the fight... he played his *ss off, yo. I really like the way that dude plays. He's freakin' everywhere!
I'd suppose you would also want all receivers to line up in the end zone at the beginning of every play in American football?

I've got cisse as only having had 9 goals in the EPL (and rembmer a stretch where he was completely awful in midseason and underwent a lengthy drought, blowing chance after chance).

And their tackles are going for the legs, not the ball.
