sigh... when all you can hope for is to beat the spread. LOL about being a dream woman... it never seems to work out so well in real life. Of course, there's the person I'm supposed to be giving another chance to (who had to work this evening), so that kind of keeps me off the main market anyway. Though I can't stand it for some reason... I'm trying to make sure I do the "right thing" but I just don't want to be there and it doesn't make any sense. Back on topic - I'm glad I was there in person for Rice's last victory over Texas before things got completely lopsided. Rice fans are wondering if it's the coach or what, but things just may be too one-sided these days when we play the BCS schools.
oh, and I meant to add that I will probably end up being the founding member of the clutch bbs convent.
That game was just embarassing. Why is Ken Hatfield still around? He's probably happy just to get a paycheck. Why not hire a hot shot offensive or defensive coordinator. Rice should hire Greg Davis.
No. It's definitely Greg Davis. The man has been completely unappreciated in Austin. He will turn that program around.
The problem isn't with her guy. It's with her. She's lost the "Magic". Speaking of which, time to download some Xanadu songs...
Anyone find it odd that other ... previously more vocal ... Rice alums have not posted in this thread?
Rice is "vulnerable"? We're one of the worst teams in Division I football. We're more than "vulnerable". We suck badly...but we'll still beat UH. muahahahahaha - We own you in every sport!
You have lost your mind. Do you remember the Fred Goldsmith years? We beat Texas in 1994 and were a decent team! There's a reason why there are only 2 division I teams that run the triple option wishbone that we do - it's clearly an outdated approach that does not work any more. Hatfield's recruiting alone should get him fired, but losing his last 8 games should definitely merit a firing. Hatfield's best days are loooooong behind him and he's running Rice further into the ground with each extra year he stays.
You are alum? huh! I graduated from Sid in 96. ...and yes, that was a great win. I remember the students revolting to close off the entrances so we could cancel classes for the day.
No way! I don't know you, do I? Well, probably not... I did go there at the same time as you did, but I didn't know too many Sid people. My professors refused to give us the day off. People threatened to skip anyway, and I was one of the ones who went through with that. Bad Isabel. Not smart. It was one crazy week... between the fall break, the flooded campus, the "skip day", and doing the pep rally sendoff for the A&M game on Friday (and being distracted by a potential relationship on the horizon... the infamous "Ferdinand"), I barely made it to class all week. Good times.
