Well said sir. Landry deserves to be remembered. He gave everything he had and left it all on the court for the Rockets and the Fans. A guy with a never quit attitude and the heart of a champion. A truly nice guy. Of course we got a equally great player with a great attitude in return, however that doesn't mean Rockets fans will forget Landry. Its like he was part of our lives for 3 years or so. From his teeth getting knocked out to him being shot! This guy really has grown on us.
I'm with this guy. I agree the trade was good for the team and I like Kevin Martin a lot, under the circumstances I would have made the same trade 120 times out of 100, but that still doesn't mean I can't still miss Landry and have respect and appreciate for him. I'm still a fan of Landy - the way I was Horry, Cassell, Francis, Mobley, and Hakeem (if that season in Canada counts for anything). Nothing changes the fact that Landry was and is a mutha#$%# ballplayer, man.
Nobody is saying that you can't respect or miss Landry. I loved to watch the guy play basketball for the Rockets... but come on. FSN spent the entire first quarter talking about how Landry is back, and showing videos of Landry's days as a Rocket. If some random person had decided to watch that game last night on FSN, they probably would have thought Landry was dead. Yet, for some reason, people wanted to see more Landry stuff? Good lord. I would have much rather seen FSN just show the introduction and then have Bill and Clyde say something about how they are happy he's back in Houston to play the game... and then move on.
