This is why teams play a 7-game series, so the best team can win even if they have a (really) off night.

Before the game I had a hunch that Rockets probably would lose Game 3 because I didn't feel the sense of URGENCY there. I am not saying they were relaxed after a 2-0 lead, but definitely they lack the sense of urgency. However, for the Jazz, the game 3 is a must-win game, they have the sense of urgency, and played like there was no tomorrow.

The game is so painful to watch. the Rockets didn't take care of the ball, they committed so many TOs, and T-Mac's ill-advised third-quarter jump shots really killed our momentum.

A few words about T-Mac's freestyle jumpshots. I think T-Mac has taken Van Gandy the comments the wrong way. Before the playoff Van Gandy once said that T-Mac was such a player that need some freedom to be great. I think that's van Gandy's defense on T-Mac's occasionally what-was-that jumpshot. Honestly, I didn't have a issue with those shots either, and I totally agreed with van Gandy. But T-Mac has taken the comment as an mandate to take that shots. So, we wind up seeing T-Mac took far more ill-advised jumpshots in the playoff than he did in the regular season. For God's sake, this is the PLAYOFF, You are supposed to PLAY THE RIGHT WAY.

I vividly remember in Game 2 at 4th quarter nearly 1:30 mark, the Rockets had 8 point lead and controlled the ball, at this time, all you need to do is to slow down, kill the time, and execute offense well, do not give your opponent the time and opportunity to rally. Instead I saw T-Mac dribbling the ball across the half-court, jack up a gambling jump shot which no teammate could hopefully grab the offensive rebound, and Jazz quickly answer an 2 point score. It is so painfully to watch this kind of play, because at this time of game, we already have a 8 point cushion, even T-Mac made the shot it would not help us much, but if he missed it, that could seriously put the game in grave danger.

I expected a sweep...and indeed, despite our disgusting play, we almost had game 3.

So we finish at home in five.

i didnt expect a sweep but definitely thought that they had a shot in this game.

they just couldnt get over the hump. They would get close and then go 0-7. Sometimes its just not your game.

I really hope JVG can consider playing VSPAN !!!!!!!!! Besides tearolinko, they have NO SHOT BLOCKER (even though Turkey clown blocked Yao 8 times in two games). When tearolinko needs to defend TMac, VSpan can drive and create MUCH BETTER than Head.

Amen! He settles way too much for jumpers. He needs to take it strong to the hole!

Thanks for bringing this up- I agree. I really believe inside penetration would break down the Jazz defense. They could either foul or we score the basket.....

Battier probably is a better penetrator than anyone but T-Mac. I wonder about using Snyder-(Synder for some) more......

That's unbelievable!! 0 bench points... only 4 players scored for our team. A very frustrating game to say the least. I for one cannot wait until Saturday so I can get this game outta my system.
