    adeelsiddiqui,
Don't listen to macalu. We beg you.

IF YOU SMELL GAS, call the fire department (but not on a land line, they spark) and run. Don't try to fix it yourself.

I can't believe "duct tape house" didn't turn up decent results.

Did that with one of my outside faucets and got the flow going again. I re-wrapped it with some foam and, naturally, duct tape, and have it a on a slow drip. Expected to be 15 again tonight in Round Rock...

At least I think it was the faucet....

I still wonder if the OP uses a beeper as his of state of the art form of communication.

Can't rofl too hard because I could see myself doing something like that. Have to say though, as soon as I saw that cop watching me with bemusement I'd have definitely aborted the gas meter wrapping.

Nothings frozen over today... Left the washing machine and dishwasher on through the night along with a few dripping taps...

Need to get these for next year.

Looks like the copper pipe running up to the tap is still exposed.

The cold side just has a drip. the hot side, nothing. Well, i'll be home later tonight so we'll see. I tried to turn off the water at the shut-off valve, but there was a sheet of ice frozen solid so I couldn't get to it...
