I love this part! As soon as I read this paragraph, I started to picture this in my mind and then laughed so bad - A great fan and a great player. It was as good as Yao's "arrogant" smile after he made his last shot at the 1:00 mark in the 4th quarter. Definitely a classic moment!

...how many girlfriends do you have, I mean, to watch a single BB game together? And how do you manage the cat fight? :p :p

I think Chuck does it on purpose. He knows he can't be a good FT shooter, so he puts that hesitation in to fake out the other team and get a second chance. To him, a forcing line violation is like half an offensive rebound.

He's had that hitch since his sophmore year of college. It's only getting worse, which is a mystery to me. He actually is getting a worse hitch on his jump shot as well because he looked terrible (understatement) last night from the top of the paint. Whereas he used to be able to shoot those more smoothly (not perfect mind you, but better than that!!) :)

Thanks for the recap!! Looks like you had a fantastic view!

Thanks for the nice recap, it was a great read and I enjoyed it. We should have personal recaps from someone at the game more often to give us a perspective that the cameras don't get.

Btw, how early do you have to get before tipoff for you to see the shootarounds?

lol, I agree. when I saw that brick by Hayes, I was ROTFLMAO :D . I couldn't help it. it was freakin hilarious. omg, what kind of jump shot is that? I've seen a lot of ugly shots (Marion, Barbosa, Watson...), but I've never seen anything like Chuck's.

usually the players come out anytime between 15-20 minutes before tip off for warm ups layup drills and stretching. coaches dont come out till much later, maybe only 3-5 mins before tip.

when deke was streching mobley came over and pretending to stomp on him and they joked around for a bit.

jl3 and luther were also doing contested jumper drills with deke. they would dribble and try to pull up with deke contesting the shot. every time they missed deke was saying something to them and smiling. they both hit their last shots after missing the rest during this drill.

bonzi seemed to bet getting a lot more comfortable wih the team and with his own game. he is in good shape, though not great he is somewhat a poor mans barkley. good rebounder and post up who never really seems to be in shape. the thing that he obviously is getting back that was missing is his timing and reaction. heck if i take 2 weeks off from playing ball i am slow to react to a lot of stuff. i can imagine what happens for that long and in the nba.

novak and padgett seem to be the cheerleaders for the team whenever someone came out of the ball game they would be there high-fiving them etc.

first rocket game of this season, wanted to go to the game against the lakers but would not have been able to make it on time. def will come out when they are back here at the end of march

good chemistry starting to come around, this team will be better when snyder comes back if only we had a little bit more depth up front, but it may mean we will see more of battier at pf.

I wonder if the fan who asked his help for Yao's signature became his girlfriend after the victory, Thanks Rox for the win. If so, I guess he has 2 now. ;)

Thats how he shoots jumpers. He is actually a decent mid range shooter.

LMAO! Seriously, only Deke would do that. :D

I honestly wish he would become an integral part of the organization after his playing career is over. Deke could help out with so many things, and he's such a GREAT chemistry guy to have around youngsters. Everybody loves Deke, that personality of his is contagious. And I honestly think that more than any other player we have on the roster now, he's the 'glue' guy on this team.

He is still my favorite NBA player...love Deke!

You really have to try to make it to one. Even if you get nose-bleed seats, the live action and being surrounded by the "enemy" is an amazing feeling. I was having a great time just talking to the Clip fans and poking fun of them.

LOL.... What can I say... Those Rockets jerseys attract girls like bees to honey!

The Tix say $125 each, but she got them off Ebay so I think they might have been a bit more. Probably around $150 or something. The Laker tickets are like $40 more than the Clip tickets.

I would definitely say this is a great idea. Deke could help the rookies a lot. And he brings a lot to the table as far as just the charisma goes.

Yup! That was me.... I was surrounded by Clipper fans, but it was a blast making fun of them b/c the Rox were rolling. The one old guy over my right shoulder (don't know how good the tv shots are) was very cool. He was taunting me b/c Yao missed a couple and Chuck missed some layups, but at the end it was good b/c we won. He keeping yelling let's go Kaman! Until the Rox owned!
