:) You know I was just kidding right?

I'd hate people to think that I really like to sacrifice other people's babies and stuff. Eat them? Sure. Sacrifice them to Doc, nah. Not so much. :p

    Ugghhhhhhh!

What is clear about this team vs. last year's team-

    1. Wesley- whether off season surgery or not he is not able to play the defense he did last year and his shot is terrible- so we have a has been old short 2 guard.
    2. Sura- without his fire and spark and attitude and rebounding we do not have a starter who puts energy into the team.
    3. Deke is not playing with the intensity blocking shots and scoring garbage points that he did last season when he looked like he was 10 yrs. younger.
    4. TMac- injury- nuff said
    5. Never has a good rebounder to clean the glass- now it really hurts because shooting % are down
    6. Bench has suffered because of Barry and Deke being missing in action.
    7. D Anderson is a nice 8th option who is trying to do too much.
    8. Stomile is an official bust- yep its not to early to call this one
    9. Stro is the only big who has the quickness to defend the pick and roll and he is too lazy to put forth the effort- Howard, Yao (they are not quick)have actually played worse defensively than last year- at least Yao has picked up his offensive game a little this season.
    10. The chemistry is bad because their is no spark in the lineup- we would be better right now to let Tracy jack of 30-35 shots each game and hope for the best. We cannot depend on a bunch of terrible passers getting Yao the ball and Yao cannot catch an entry pass unless it is perfect.

It is too easy to defend this team right now. A defender in front and behind Yao, a quick defender with a quick double on TMac and the rest are just not quick enough to get their own shot off, plus we are missing too many open shots.

To get things turned around we will need a spark player to start and give hustle minutes who can score (not Ryan can't score Bowan) and we need rebounding and we need better pick and roll defense. Other than that we are doing fine.

To be honest, I was wondering about what Doc has said that came to fruition. Honestly, not much. But that doesn't mean he isn't an insider. and I really don't care if he forecasts a trade that happens a few days later.

to me, the most valuable info is like in this thread. the kind that lets you know what's going on in the inner-workings of the team. how differnent players are getting along with each other, and the coach. since we live in a time with so much sports media coverage, the value of insiders has gone done but there still is info on teams that we never here about. But for instance, we all know that Kobe and Shaq didn't get along, but 20 years ago you may have had no idea.

some info we may never know, did Rudy like coaching Francis. what really went on between clyde and barkley. did hakem really want cassell shipped out of here. that's the kind of info I would like to know.

I've always though he was like a ballboy that overhears the courtside conversations. That's pretty good for this site but would be a far cry from having actual knowledge of the machinations of management.

I guess ballboy could be an overly diminutive term but you know what I mean. Hey Doc, don't stop. Hearing what you have to say and speculating on it's veracity is actually the only fun we are getting to have this year.

I hear from my third hand inside source at the Texans that Gary Kubiak is their #1 coaching target.

I appreciate Doc and insiders like him, but, I agree, as interesting as the organization's personnel deals are, the inside the locker room stuff would be facinating.

I havent been active on this website asa of late. However, I would just like to say that watching the Rockets play is painful. Stromile and DA have been the biggest disappointments to me this season, as I expected much more out of them -- if not points, then the lack of energy. DA got paid way too much in Portland and lost his swagger, while Stromile plays like the baby he is. We need to trade for some shooters who can put the ball in the hoop. To be honest, everytime DA shoots, I look to see if a couple of Rockets are ready for transition defense, because the likelihood of the ball going in the bucket is very low. I am a die hard Rockets fan, but the lack of energy this season has given me nothing to wake up to every morning. They need energy and should realize that it isn't going to come from DA or Swift.

I agree they have been disappointing. But to me, Juwon has been just as disappointing. Our +/- with him on the floor is horrible and he can't stop anybody. We have a huge hole at the 4 and on the perimeter. We were trying to band aid the backcourt, but Stromile was supposed to be a significant upgrade in the front court. Instead, we have gone backwards up front and put even more pressure on Yao because of the failures of Juwon and Stromile. If I were the GM, I would be looking for ways to dump Howard ASAP. Him and Wesley are definitely on the downhill.

You obviously don't watch any games.

David West is more of a post scorer than Swift will ever be.

But yeah, I'd welcome a trade for Andersen in a heartbeat. :D

It makes no sense to have to make another deal to clear up the the guard situation we'd have, yet cut Malik Allen.
