I think every thread other than this one in the Game Action and Roster Moves forum lost credibility when the Rockets didn't make the playoffs.
How about Penny Hardaway for PG? crazy, i know. but you know what, hardaway's knees has been healthy for 2 years now (yes, he was injured this season, but it was his thumb) and since the rockets plan to make francis play the shooting guard next season, getting the 6'7" PG like penny is not a bad idea since it would allow Francis to guard the smaller PG on Defense. So that means Penny plays PG on offense, and guards the bigger twos on D. SF, OTOH, will play an AI role on offense, and will guard PGs on Defense. no matchup problems on Defense. the only reason why houston will nix a trade for penny is because of his salary. but what if he decides to take a small pay cut to make himself more attractive to houston? trade btw is Penny Hardaway for Mobley and Cato. any trade that removes mobley for a good starting PG is a good deal for houston, i think. removing mobley is addition by subtraction.
