Ok...so we are making it a tradition to rob Orlando once every summer. :p

Anyone, what does this mean? That they have tried to trade them and no one wants them?

I wouldn't mind robbing Orland again and again.

I think Doc meant they do not have any future in the Rockets whatsoever.

What do you mean ward and moochie not being moved. I read it as they're, "not in the mix" as in "not in the rotation or future plans". These guys would make perfect filler contracts for bigger deals. One or both of these guys might even be cut if we can't make anything happen.

Weatherspoon, Baker for Bibby or Richard Jefferson
    Weatherspoon, Wesley for Pierce

A PG rotation of Sura and James would be okay.
A G rotation of Barry, Wesley, and James would be okay, too.

I don't think Payton, NVE, or DA would improve the current PG/G rotation.

I took the "completely out of any mix right now whatsoever" as meaning not involved in any trade talks (because nobody wants them) nor in any future plans next season.

thanks for the info doc any news of the rockets this offseason especially now that the cba has gone through is much appreciated.

i hope cd gets to work on the deke's contract soon. i wonder if there will be any other splashes before the season starts. honestly i hope its nothing too major maybe getting a new pg/sg or a younger atheltic 6th man. yao has gone through more player turnover in his 3 seasons then anyone i can think of. he needs some familiarity and stability. (of course he knows he'll always have t-mac by him now :) )

2 for 1 deals = CD is pitching pitching pitching / hoping hoping hoping --or-- there are proposals out there, under consideration?

It must've been Barry (Corona Light b*stard!!!) but the 2 for 1 was very clear that it was 'for a pure point guard.' As for Deke, he made it seem like that he was not close to being done. There again, the Corona Light may have heard otherwise.... :)

I'l follow up but this person can't be reached right now.....

    Doc,
As was asked earlier, are these 2 for 1 deals sitting in our lap waiting on our decision, or are we waiting on the other teams to commit?

...And let the rampant speculation begin!

Thanks for the scoop, Doc. I just don't really see anyone who really fills the mold, though.

Fox 26 Mark Berman just reported that David Falk (Mutombo's agent) recommends him to resign with the Rox, even though the money will be smaller, the setup here is perfect for Deke.

How about Sam Cassell and his 6M expiring contract? His days in Minnesota are probably numbered. Or how about Jamaal Tinsley?

I just pray that the Rockets dont touch the terrible contracts of Derek Fisher/Eric Snow/Rafer Alston. Stay away!!

Damn the only pure point guard I can think of who'd be available is Dan Dickau
