Point of making a "too much for Paul" statement is not about an equal value trade, it's the fact that Paul was coming here no matter what. Foresight wasn't there for a true domino effect to unfold ala Miami because it doesn't seem that there was the same collusion amongst the players and now there isn't the necessary young talent left to make it a no brainier for NY and complicate the situation with added teams, either Harrel or Dekker gets the Melo deal done day 1. It will still happen but now it's just a slow crank with your off hand, you'll get there but it could have been better.
What are you talking about? It was the Rockets fans who had to suffer. Lin was revenge for the us beating them in the Finals.
We have work to do Clutchfans. Everyone go on Twitter / IG. Tag Carmelo with Maliah Michel, Miracle Watts & Lira Galore. They have to recruit him.
I don't think you guys understand , the Knicks still have power . Yes, it's a players league , but it's not like Carmelo can snap his fingers and get traded here.
Think about what you are saying for a second. If we signed him, we would have had to pay $10M~ more money. In order for us to do that, we would have STILL had to unload a combination of Anderson, Ego, Bev, Dekker, or Harrell to sign CP3. Not only would it have cost us money, it would have delayed us in actually getting him onto our team. While it is unlikely for CP3 to change his mind and go to another team, it could still happen during the opt-in period.
Have you watched knick games this past season? I watched a bunch. Kp low post defense is suspect. He is lucky they don't have as many dominant centers these days. However the guy playing the 5 for the opposing team was almost always thicker and stronger than him and they easily score on him if they are able to get position on the block.
I'm too lazy to go thru stats but if I weren't I would show you some stat revealing his weak low post defense vs centers.
New york is his hometown and he will most likely live there most of his life. He is an east coast guy He cares about his public image and doesnt want to be public enemy no 1 in a city that he loves. He will leak reports like the isola ny daily news article today
Glad you aren't worried. I'm just going by the eye test on the numerous knick games I watched last season. I probably watched more than most of the posters here. Let me know if you can find stats that prove me wrong. Maybe I am but I don't think so. My impression was he is quite easy to score on in the low post vs centers.
I don't need to find stats. theres probably like 3 real centers like someone mentioned above and even then the low post isn't what is beating anyone
Here was one example. http://www.newsday.com/sports/baske...-center-for-knicks-against-nuggets-1.13106146
