From managment's perspective, this team won't make radical change until 2010

We got Franchise player(s), we just don't know how to use them or figure out what needs to be done.

For the past few years our team was bite by injury bugs and surrounded by sub-par role players.

Last year and specially this year, we are filled with all and enough pieces to go very very deep into the playoffs. Our bench is one of the deepest among this league. our success given all the injury issues were partially due to our bench carrying us thru.

Brooks is like Rondo, I would say Brooks is better given his speed and his records not a starter. he could be starter on many teams

Landry is guarantee scorer most of the time, and he's a beast on the basket. The way he fought for the ball and dunk them, who can match him with his size and power?

Scola is the best there is in terms of diving for lose ball and taken charges. His consistency is an issue, but with landry and scola, we have take a night off on either one of them.

He kinda gotcha on that one ibm. I think that you can never let business disturb the balance of trying to win a ring. Yao is a good player, but if someone offers you a really good deal that will improve your team or make it better, you can't let the off the court stuff distort you. That goes for any player. U can win with 5 mn basketball as DD pointed out. You don't have to have a "franchise" player, but you do need really good players who can seize the moment.

That was an anomaly and you know it. Teams rarely ever win championships without franchise players. The Pistons played great defense and they had rip, sheed, and chauncey in their primes. They had big Ben locking down the paint and Okur coming off the bench. That team had REALLY good players, borderline stars, four all-stars. And they just happened to have the the hard-ass coach to whip them in line.

Unfortunately, MOST championship teams are made by coaches juggling superstar egos for the good of the team. I know you guys would love to have some fairy tale team that wins on ONLY hard work and hustle but it ain't happening. You need great talent, and that's fine if it isn't Tracy but we better find some other great talent because otherwise we're just wasting our time.

I was sort of attempting to get people to look at it from a management perspective.

We probably have one of the best supporting casts in the NBA. Put any winner on the team at the place of Tracy and its a championship no doubt. But Wade on it, but Lebron on it, heck even but Durant or Roy on it!

However, I don't think we have anychance at these big guns in 2010. Lebron is NY or Cleveland and Wade is likely to stay in Miami.

Everybody knows how people get franchise players... they tank.

If in 2010 we get nobody, our supporting cast youngsters will probably be near there prime, I say we tank for a true SG who takes us to a chip.

One team in 30 years. I hate when people use the Pistons as an example. They are the exception, not the rule. The Pistons lucked out because the Lakers ran out of gas (injuries to the old guys) against the Spurs.

Sacramento had Webber who was having a MVP candidate. People forget how good he was before the knees gave way.

There's going to be a lot of disappointed teams come 2010...
