Haven’t seen tar down there in decades. Not really much foam, either.

There is literally nothing better than renting out a bayhouse with some friends and fishing out of the back while having the option to drive minutes to the beach. Always a bay house though. Keep the sand out of the house.

Just as day trip for something different. Maybe once every other year. Yes there better places to go but not as convenient and cheap. The roads there are all nice and easily traveled. We like Moody Gardens and had the season passes in the past. No comments to anything down there.

Off the bay in the back of the house? Not really. If you are plan on going on a boat that is unguided or fishing a jetty/pier then get one. I have gotten a few tickets in the day so I know from experience lol.

You gotta be careful. The warden will pull their boat right down the bay canals. I think a salt water license is $35, but not sure the out of state cost.

I went to Galveston today. Oh man, it’s so good to be back there. Beautiful day and water sightseeing. Went on ferry.

Well, yeah. It’s survival. They have to pay for their salary.

Don't go fishing without a license (don't need one in state parks, btw), you cheapass chiseling bastards.

    https://tpwd.texas.gov/business/licenses/public/recreational/index.phtml

TPWD is perpetually cash-strapped and all of the license fees actually do go into their budget, unlike the sham/scam "sporting goods fee" that the Legislature approved years ago, and said would be used to help fund the Dept, and then a couple of years later they said "nope, this is all going into the general fund". Kind of like the lottery was going to "fund schools".

Right before the commercial break Chuck said “the Rockets tricked me. They said we’re going to the beach for training camp and they took us to Galveston”

I hope Galveston mayor make a short video on next TNT show to let Charles know how great Galveston is and how it has become a tourist destination.

Yeah, like he’s out showing off his ab on the beach.

From what I understand, he had a great time and partied like a rockstar in Galveston during training camp.

I think there's a good PR video guy who worked for Cleveland a few years ago. He would be perfect actually.
