I thought to myself this morning that Morey could be after someone that nobody thinks is available....

Come on, don't insult the guy that way.

Let's break the fourth wall to discuss this post for a moment.

If you believe "the guy" being insulted was basketballholic, what does that say about Chris Sheridan?

If you believe "the guy" being insulted was Chris Sheridan, what does that say about basketballholic?

If you weren't sure who "the guy" being insulted was, well, that says everything doesn't it?

I've tinkered with this one on the ESPN Trade Checker before.

Papa + Prigioni + (DMo or Tjones), etc.

I think even when you throw in the toilet-flush contract of Joey Dorsey you wind up just shy of the amount needed.

So you'd have to go three-team whatever, or include Ariza instead of Papa-Nick. Unpalatable.

Watch out. He'll steadfastly deny such a claim....

Three times. One from each account. :p

He wouldn't have to carry the Rockets like he did the Raptors with Harden alongside him. Besides, he's still less injury prone than Bev.

I'd rather have a younger Llull at half the cap and no other costs (players, picks, etc.)

Can't the Rockets add 3M in cash to get the job done? Our capologists can probably tell us if it is possible to pay for a traded player's contract plus cash in the same trade.

I would too, depending on how good Llull is. But none of us really know for sure since he's never played in the NBA. And BTW, he ain't that much younger than Lowry. A little more than a year and a half is what separates the two. The salary difference is huge, although Lowry's contract is still a bargain given he's an All-Star.

At this point, I'd rather have Tyus Jones or Jerian Grant and roll with Bev, revisionist history never works out in the nba

My primary motivation isn't really choosing between the qualities of Llull and Lowry.....it's who better positions us to get Durant. Llull does that.

    Lowry to Rockets

Papa(cut), Motie, Capela and multiple picks to Raptors

    Prigs(cut) and Johnson to Philly

    5 for 1 trade FTW.

    PG: Lowry / Beverley
    SG: Harden / Terry
    SF: Ariza / Brewer
    PF: Jones / Smith
    C: Howard / Scola / Dorsey

    Lets do it

His prohibitive buyout stands in the way, assuming that he does want to join the Rockets.

Trade would work fine around Papa, Prig, DMo/TJones, and picks for Lowry. Cap math works fine.

This is crazy, I would not give up DMO or Capela for Lowry and you want to give up both??

and multiple picks. Never mind we traded Lowry when he was younger, cheaper, and had a shorter injury history for a single first round pick. I get he is under contract for longer now and there is value in that, but D-Mo, Capela and multiple picks value?

PF rotation of TJones, Smith, and Scola is gross. That alone would cost us any hopes of winning a title.
